I wouldn’t put money on it even being resolved, but I don’t know. I just read a story about how true journalism is dead and it has turned into who can break news first regardless of if it has been verified. The jest of the article stated how social media is the driver, so more clicks is the bar now, not true journalism. I believe that’s true, but I’m not a journalist or a social media user other than on here.VimSince03 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 2:49 pmStory states: "...ultimately found guilty of..." in regards to House being charged with a DUI. The way it was written makes it sound factual. Perhaps because he left the program before the verdict nothing was made public?Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 6:33 pmI wouldn’t put money on it even being resolved, but I don’t know. There is no need to blame the media or go down a rabbit hole to figure this one out.

Victor Flores wrote the article and I believe that his email address is attached to the article. If not, it’s probably easy to find. You could email him and ask him how he knows or call the courts. (If you click on his byline it will take you to his email).Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Wed Jun 12, 2024 6:33 pmI wouldn’t put money on it even being resolved, but I don’t know. I know Victor from working MSU football games. He certainly doesn’t strike me as someone who would make up something for clicks.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Re: Housewright to Akron
It is significant news because it says there has been a disposition, and that disposition is not “not guilty.” Now we know.

This doesn't have anything to do with this particular case but having recently served on a jury I can share that this concept is applied about as well in the jury room as it is on the internet.AFCAT wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 1:25 pmExcept for that whole innocent before proven guilty thing.Justwinbaby wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 11:41 amThere was never a time when we didn't know...Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 3:55 pmIt is significant news because it says there has been a disposition, and that disposition is not “not guilty.” Now we know.

Very scary. I once served as the foreman on a jury and had one juror who kept bringing up the defendant's constitutionally protected choice not to testify in his own defense as a reason why she thought he was guilty.AFCAT wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 1:52 pmWell, that's a bit scary.coloradocat wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 1:49 pmThis doesn't have anything to do with this particular case but having recently served on a jury I can share that this concept is applied about as well in the jury room as it is on the internet.AFCAT wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 1:25 pmExcept for that whole innocent before proven guilty thing.Justwinbaby wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 11:41 amThere was never a time when we didn't know...Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 3:55 pmIt is significant news because it says there has been a disposition, and that disposition is not “not guilty.” Now we know.

That exact thing happened in my jury room (I was also the foreman). They also thought she was guilty because her lawyers weren't any good, which of course was the case because they were either PDs or the cheapest ones out there.MSU01 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 2:03 pmVery scary. The Law and Order universe and most of the non-comedy programming on CBS have a direct influence on how many people are in jail.
