This thread is perfect, two posts in a row misspelling Logie's name after the posts above criticize a recruit for spelling his name incorrectly in a different way. Loggie...Loagie...Logie...Bueller.
Better than Loogie.

I have been waiting for this comment :D :) :D
Ha I’ll admit to being lazy and just looking at the spelling in the post I quoted and spelling it the same. But then I’ve never been one to really care much about that.

This is an interesting one... He's gotten several pac12 offers, including from Washington and Cal, just a couple days before Loagie did... maybe they had a good conversation and hit it off?
Gotta think in this new day and age of the portal that for high school kids building relationships with those that may be on the low side of power conf level is just as important as expecting to get them immediately. Build that relationship and play a bit of a long game then if that player happens to not get the playing time at power conf that they thought they would and want to get somewhere to play more Loagie already has an pre-existing relationship to work with.
I was thinking the same thing. I also think you might get some kids who have just a shred of doubt that they're ready to play at the higher level right away. In the past, they just took the best offer, even if they knew they wouldn't play for 2-3 years. Now some of those higher end guys know they can end up at a bigger program really easily if they develop at a place like MSU. It's a little bit of that JuCo mentality without having to go JuCo. Just so many angles to recruit. You might even get a big-time coach that tells a player to go mid-major first, then we'll look for you in the portal.

It seems that most programs now will be filling at least one of their scholarships with a player who is transfering. Definitely affects every level and every type of player. Quite unstable at the moment, but maybe it will calm down and become the "new normal". I find it interesting how many players that our coach is offering also have an offer by Danny Sprinkle. They are cut from the same cloth in some ways.

Smart move. Build a relationship with Danny and those UW recruits even if they likely aren't going to sign with a school like MSU out of high school. Then a couple years down the line if it doesn't work out for them there you've got a leg up when it comes to recruiting them from the transfer portal.

Where the heck did that old MSC logo come from?

There is a company online that still uses it. I have a hoodie with that logo.

Interesting and pretty cool to see, but still really weird for a new recruit to be using it in an offer announcement tweet.

That's true. I just like it because of the history. I also have a vintage late 1960s pillow that I picked up with this logo.

Ha, nice! That looks like something straight out of the Saturday morning cartoons.
