I believe the board itself was $3M or $3.5M. Install was going to be $1.5M last year but was expected to be less when they more time to plan so say about $1M. So total between $4M and $4.5M.4KornerKat wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 12:37 pmI think it was just over 1.5 millionTomCat88 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 30, 2024 12:25 pmCorrect. 2011 - stadium lights $.5 million
2011 - scoreboard $.5 million
2017 - new synthetic turf $.65 million
2021 - Bobcat Athletic Complex $18 million
2024 - scoreboard $1(?) million
2024 - Indoor Practice Facility $26 million

Anyone know the cost of the scoreboard and parking lot upgrade? Entire project is $13 million for lots "near" Bobcat Stadium. So, should all of that be considered football-related?
The stadium was built for $500,000 back in the early 70s. It had one major upgrade around 1998 (west grandstand and skyboxes) from the original construction until 2010 (nearly 40 years).
Anyone know what the price tag on the new scoreboard is?

It just dawned on me that MSU is building the best Six and Eight man football stadium in the state! IF the state ever decided on hosting all State Title Football games at neutral locations, this would be an incredible place to host both six and eight man games.

It should also allow for the amplification / simulation of loud crowd noise in preparation of opponents who play in domes, hopefully to mitigate false starts.

I figured maybe a couple thousand. Seems easy to bring that many bleachers in. But maybe restrooms and concessions wouldn’t even be close to being able to handle that.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 7:07 pmThat would be cool, but they'd have to bring in stands. Porta potties outside and trailers for concessions. That is what small towns do when they host.CodyCat wrote: ↑Tue Jul 02, 2024 7:29 pmI figured maybe a couple thousand. Re: Indoor facility
Personally I hate playing football indoors, and the IPF is simply not designed for playing competitive games. Bad weather is part of the game. Let the kids play outside on their own fields just like they do all year!
