What a crazy world we're living in. I think this is weird and dumb, but that's just me being an old man yelling at clouds. What's crazy is that just a few years ago a post like this would have sparked a major investigation and he'd have probably lost his offer.

Naw, I’ve seen posts like that for 15+ years. Kids that live in the hood would take all the pictures with their new chargers after they committed. Nothing new here.

Well you're obviously paying closer attention than me. For some reason this seems more brash than the older videos. I just know if this kid signed with MSU and did that I'd have my mind ALMOST made up about him before he ever set foot on campus.

The MSU introductions on TV for the 2005 game still make me cringe.

The four recruits have all been from Washington and Idaho, so relatively close to their homes or they may have a connection to or fondness for the university. Seems like the Cats need to step up their game a bit though. Apparently, Eck is a pretty good recruiter.

Generally, scholarship offers come with conditions, and if the staff has filled those spots, likes somebody else better, etc, they won’t take the commitment. There’s a lot we don’t know. It’s July. I wouldn’t get too worried about anybody “beating” us in recruiting.

We should also take into consideration the positions where an MSU already picked up a high school commit. Those spots are limited. I know some of the guys going to Idaho played the same position where MSU already signed a high school kid.

Position numbers will vary every year but the 2023/4 class only saw two position groups where only one player was signed and that was at QB and RB and that QB is a walk-on. TE was the second least signed position with two players taken. LB, DL, WR, and OL each had three players chosen. DB had seven players signed. I'm not counting players that were transfers in those totals, but that would add one player to each of the TE and DL position groups and two to the OL. Obviously, no kickers or punters were signed but that will probably change next year.

I can almost guarantee that there will be more than one DL, LB, and OL taken this year. I'm starting to think the Cats might hit the portal more next season though since they will have a large graduating class this season. Time will tell on all of this. Most of the signed recruits this season weren't even offered until last season was well underway and didn't commit until late in the year with the most commits coming in December.
