In 2015, the Griz flipped Dalton Daum and that basically completed the sweep of the blue chips:

1) Jesse Sims (Corvallis) - DE/OLB
2) Colin Bingham (Missoula Big Sky) - TE/DE
3) Holden Ryan (Billings Central) - ATH
4) Dalton Daum (Butte) - WR
5) Mitch Brott (Billings West) - OT
6) Josh Sandry (Big Fork) - S
7) Brayden Konkol (Belgrade) - OLB/Safety
8.) Logan Jones (Kalispell Glacier) - ATH
9) Marcus Ferriter (Butte Central) - DE
10) Andrew Harris (Kalispell Glacier) - DE

Mitch and Brayden only received partials. However, that 2015 ranking turned out MUCH different by the end of those Montana player's careers. Jesse was a top player throughout his career but Mitch, Brayden, and Josh Hill turned out to be very special and Logan Jones, Marcus, and Byron Rollins all turned into solid football players.

Very unfortunate and sad that two players on the above list aren't with us anymore.

Bobcats were also close in Troy's year but Brayden Deming chose the Griz.

I forgot about deming. That’s the year of Troy, Keaton Anderson, Hashley, Gilman as the other blue chips.

Bobcats were also close in Troy's year but Brayden Deming chose the Griz.

Griz also almost did it but Nolan Askelson went to MSU.

Despite offering four of the six recruits in that photo, Bobby only really offered one of them. And despite the "rumored" four offers, really they were only preferred walk-on offers AT MOST. Actually, the fake media only wanted you to think Griz had any interest. If offered, why would a kid not choose UM? Just asking questions.

None of these commits are failed FBS players. They wouldn't fit in to the culture in Missoula.

What position do you see him playing at the next level? I just watched some of his highlights for the first time. Looks impressive, but maybe a bit of a “tweener”? Could he play nickleback in the bobcats system?

I don't see a tweener. The kid is around 210, 6'0", and dominates at inside LB. He's very similar to Nolan Askelson coming out of high school. I guess you could argue height and speed but instincts and playmaking ability are off the charts. Has started at LB for Bozeman since his freshman year.

I think UM would need to outbid or out-promise MSU to get him.

Well over at the ol egriz they say this is a down year in MT kids and they don't really want any of them. So someone should really tell the one kid that committed to the griz so far. He may not want to go there.

Vim, when's the last time you had a Havre kid on your list? The Dettrick kid? The only reason i rememeber that is I was in Middle School with his dad. And before that? Marc M? When you stop and think about it Havre really isn't a place with alot of talent coming out of it. Class A. Maybe should be? I don't really remember seeing many names from Havre. But then honestly I would expect more names from Lewistown and Miles city and neither is a place that I can think of many if any.
