Please remind me of the name of the fella from Saco. Came in as a QB but never played other than being a Holder for his career.
I'm from Hinsdale but I don't recall anyone from Saco other than the Siewing brothers, Kazz and Kruiz. Rocky Tollefson was from Saco and he played hoops for MSU back in the 70s.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Are you thinking of Rick Haluska from Harlem around the years of 2009 -'12ish? I always appreciated his work and effort and expected that at anytime he would really break out and make more awesome plays.

If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

I stand corrected. Harlem. Haluska. Thank you

Most of us have barely heard of some of the most unselfish players. Walk-ons who rostered for four years and graduated as mostly practice players when they could have transferred to Frontier schools to get playing time are an example. I have a few friends from the 1990s who fit that criteria and they’re still involved now as boosters and donors.

this - there are so many

Guys from way back:
Scotty Kimball (Doug and Bob's brother) - worked his azz off every day for 5 years, earned a scholly, not much PT but proud as hell to be a Bobcat
Mark Rinehart - best athlete I've ever seen - signed as part of our 1984 NC incoming class, held the HS record for most rushing yards in Wisconsin history, brought in as a CB - knee injury, Solmonson converted him back to RB/KR - gave everything he had, could've been all-time, still holds some Bobcat records. He was around 5'10" 175lbs and one of the strongest guys on the team, likely the fastest behind Tony Moore & Kelly Davis - fall scrimmage his true FR year took on OL Todd Vasey & Todd said "that's the hardest I've ever been hit in my 5 years here"
Jason Hartman - huge upside LB who represents dozens of guys over the years who got injured and weren't able to see the field (grusome knee injury on a crack block at practice)

After rewatching the 22 brawl and 22 playoffs Elijah Elliot is a phenomenal pick. Extremely explosive and you got to feel bad for that guy as he barely played last year after having an impressive season. I guess it goes to show how deep our RBs are but I would love to see him get some additional touches.

Troy andersen. If he had played 4 years on defense he's likely a first round pick. He did whatever was asked of him and put his body on the line. Played qb for gosh sakes. Very unselfish. Rovig mentoring Tommy on the run to frisco, after getting passed over twice that season, deserves credit too.

Rovig and Elliott won't ever have to buy a beer or a meal if I see them out and about in Bozeman.

Marqui Johnson? Really shined when the RBs were banged up in 22. But only touched the ball 8 times last year. Yes he gets kick returns but that speed would be fun to see him used in jet sweeps
