Does it make more sense to move Ortt to Nickel and slide C. Dowler back to SS?

Re: Golden Coolie Questions
Who will be this year’s younger player that steps up and stands out on the defensive side of the ball? Andrew Powdrell seems to be a consensus pick, mine would be Zac Crews.

Crews would be my choice as well, I thought he showed a ton of potential when he got chances to play last year.JoeCatsJoe wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 3:07 pmWho will be this year’s younger player that steps up and stands out on the defensive side of the ball? Re: Golden Coolie Questions
Last year the Bobcat defense was pretty good, tough schedule and they gave up about 20 PPG up until the last two games where they gave up 37 and 35. So including those it ends up at 22.8 PPG average. Question for you is, where should we set the Over\Under? If it's 15 I'd take the over. if it's 20 I'd take the under.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Who is the most irreplaceable member of the defense? In other words, which position group would you least want us to have to go to the bench for?

Feels like a trend in the past couple years is that one of our young D-linemen pop.MSU01 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 3:09 pmCrews would be my choice as well, I thought he showed a ton of potential when he got chances to play last year.JoeCatsJoe wrote: ↑Mon Aug 12, 2024 3:07 pmWho will be this year’s younger player that steps up and stands out on the defensive side of the ball? Re: Golden Coolie Questions
How many PPG will the defense allow this season? Will it be improved from last season? And how many PPG will it take to win the Big Sky Conf and National Title?

Re: Golden Coolie Questions
Which defensive lineman ends the year with the most sacks? I feel like you guys are going to say Grebe but Eiden and Crews (with enough playing time) could definitely push him. Plus, Grebe will be getting a lot of attention this year from opposing OL's.

I saw that later. I think my phone didn’t load the page or something. And you worded it much much better.

In the case vs UNM Lobos.........who has the biggest advantage....
*UNM because they have a new coaching staff and up to 60 new players which means we have an almost zero understanding of what to expect, where on the other hand, if the Lobo coaching staff gets a hold of our last year film, because our schemes for the most part won't change much, they'll know a lot about what we'll be trying to do.
*MSU because we have a stable coaching staff and a large amount of returning players (20+ seniors) that especially in our first game should make us more 'polished' so even though UNM might know what's coming more than we will, our ability to execute effectively will outweigh the fact that they may know what's coming along with them likely being much less 'polished' than we will be?

With new coordinators and a summer to prepare I am expecting some different looks on both sides of the ball. Even if just first quarter make them adjust then back to what we know. The MICKSTER wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2024 9:05 amIn the case vs UNM Lobos.........who has the biggest advantage....

Which RB do you think has the most rushing yards during the UNM game? Which defensive player has the biggest game impact against UNM?

Which newcomer/newcomers do you feel will have the biggest impact in the game, both offense and defense?
Will the kicking game have an effect?

You spoke to this last week, but i want to hear more about how you think Bobby Daly takibg over as the defensive coordinator will change things. What do you think will stand out mist from the defense in Albuquerque? Thanks for the great content -- I've missed you both over the summer and am glad you're back behind the mic!

Long time reader and listener and looking forward to your takes this season.
Looking ahead to Sunday morning what is the headline of the Bozeman Chronicle? I think it will read "Bobcats showout in their opening weekend romp over New Mexico"
A couple more, which coaching staff, offense or defense, is under the most pressure to perform Saturday? and who will have more rushing touchdowns Scottre or Tommy?

The Cats are currently 9 5 point favorites. Are you taking the over or the under?
