I'm well aware of that. I'm also not going to overreact to one game no matter how bad it looks out there.

I’m a bit reactive from this game. This is a senior heavy team with what we were led to believe adjustments in coaching that would be beneficial. I see a team that looks lost, not a team where winning is the culture. The score would be switched around if this was SDSU/NDSU playing the Lobos.

Well put. This feels like the first half of the Idaho game or the entire Griz game. We’re on our heels, tentative, and making mistakes without making any big plays to make up for it. Some concerning trends from last year that are continuing in game one. That’s a little scary.

Yep, you summed up what I am feeling.
This team looks like a continuation of the end of last season.
Problems don’t seem to have been fixed. Hell, maybe they are worse or easier to exploit.

I think Cats have shown we will again run well against most teams. Shore up protection or get more quick passing to open longer routes it will be better . D has given up 17.

Tommy has been asked to be something he isn't...a passer! Last year if the pass wasn't there he took off and ran wild. This year he is hesitating waiting for another receiver to clear. It makes him less than what he can be. You can't make a thoroughbred pull a plow!

I think it boils down to the fact they don’t have Chambers and are worried about injuries to Tommy.

I really wish they went to the portal for QB.

Reed is a great QB. Not the runner like Tommy or Chambers but I think he's the best actual passer on the team.

Yes, Reed is absolutely the best pure passer on the roster. I’d like to see what he can do. True passing game (going through progressions) w/ our running game. Could be dangerous!

Is it too soon to fire up the run Vigen out of town bus? New coordinators and same defensive mistakes and bad offensive play calling as last year. At some point the only explanation left is it’s Vigen’s fault.

Remember how last year went? That was ridiculous. Another year and another roster brimming with talent and gearing up for another waste of said talent. More than willing to look ridiculous if it means voicing my hatred of mediocrity.

If you are going to fire a coach that has lost nine games going into his fourth season, you will be mightily disappointed in whoever he is replaced with. Name me the last Bobcat team/coach that has had Vigens level of regular season and playoff success over the same time frame.

You guys are going to maybe disagree with me but I'm coming out of this game impressed with our offense and unimpressed with the defense. I get they had 60 transfers and a new offense but we had minimal position changes on D coming into this one. Effort is there but we have been out of alignment A LOT today which is something I did not expect in Game 1 so often. On offense, run game is strong but they are clearly not running Tommy. Passing game needs less pocket but Tommy's throwing it fine...and over the middle! The two fumbles are bad but both getting returned for TDs is "Weber State four safety" nonsense.

I see 11-1 or 10-2. I'm fine debating it until I see otherwise as I think the D is going to get better.

Another prime example of letting Tommy make things happen on the move. Move him or pass from the pocket with Reed. Tommy will never be a pocket passer.

Anyone in here saying the defense is playing well or even OK has lost their marbles. Poor tackling...bad penalties...getting pushed around at the line of scrimmage. Very little improvement year over year.
