Seems like a lot of sparky comments. I would think if you dont like seeing emotional in game comments and the back and forth of game day threads don't read it. And especially dont come on after the fact and criticize those who post thru out. Of no one posted this would be a pretty boring place to visit.

I stay away from the game day thread during the game because it is always a sh1t show. A guy makes a mistake and dumb asses are posting to bench him. Pretty sure the best players of all time have made mistakes….

I completely disagree with your comment about criticism though. If you post - emotional or not - you are open to criticism. If you can’t handle the criticism, then don’t post.

So it's ok to criticize a poster but not OK to criticize play or play calling. If those who come on after the game want to do that shouldn't they read whole thread first to see a posters full set of posts. I agree some get too personal but it's a message board. Not sure I get your point. Mine was pretty simple. If you criticize (whether it is a poster, player or coach), then you open yourself up for criticism. That seems pretty obvious. For you to say “don’t come out and criticize those who post throughout the game day thread” makes absolutely zero sense. Your advice seems to be “don’t read the gameday thread if don’t like what you are reading”? What??? Do you think everyone should also get a blue ribbon for posting, regardless of how stupid their post is (for example, firing coaches in weak zero against an FBS opponent with a new coach)?

I have not watched the replay yet so a few questions:

No sacks. That is alarming.
Why was Myles kicking?
A friend said our DB'S looked terrible. True?
Did White play at RB?

Yes.
Don’t know. Haven’t heard why yet just heard ahead of time that Kautzman wasn’t kicking.
Yes they did. Caden had glimpses of plays but wasn’t consistent.
Thought I saw him once or twice but could be mistaken. Don’t remember him with a carry need to check box score.

No defensive pressure by MSU was a cause for concern for me.

Yes, I saw White on 1 or 2 carries.

*A bit of an ugly win, but I loved how the Cats hung in there, and the coaches have a good opportunity to coach-up from game film this week.

Lots to clean up but a Bobcat win is always a good day. Hopefully the coaches clean up some play calling. Same complaints with that as last year. Last drive might be an indication of lessons learned…fingers crossed that lesson is learned and remembered

I wouldn’t count your chickens just yet, the eggs haven’t quite hatched. I wasn’t a Vigen supporter last year and I probably won’t be this year. Damn glad to see a win though

That was a quality hit, and though he shoveled the ball to me it was the “big stick” of the game. Bigger defensive plays like the tfl to force 4th and seven but I would love to hear that contact! Kudos Danny U!

It is a coincidence that I joined the year I became skeptical of Vigen. His first two seasons I would’ve been right here with all of you beating the drum for him. But it’s his fourth season and he did nothing to alleviate my skepticism in the first game. Will he figure it out between now and the end of the season? Hopefully. I thought last year‘s team had enough talent to win a national championship, and this team appears to be more talented

Another message board I lurk on to follow one of my pro teams actually shuts down the board to posts completely while games are in progress. It definitely shuts down the emotional overreactions but seems a bit over the top. Better idea is that individuals can just choose to not participate in or read the game threads if the negativity bothers them that much!

Well my guess is that all of us are fans and emotional about the game. Some express it in public ways and others express it privately, but trust me… the Nation cares and applauds and hisses from time to time. It’s all good fun!

I don't know about game day coaching but I do think Vigen is a better recruiter than Choate was. Or at least Vigen's recruiting approach seems better. This years class (2024) looks like the best class we have ever signed, on paper.
