That is an overly simplistic view of the people who are upset with Vigen. The fact is the first three quarters of the game a ton of the same mistakes that were made from a coaching standpoint were repeated with new coordinators. At some point there’s only one explanation left…

Happy to see the win. Bottom line is we all want to see wins. I don’t care who the coach is, if Vigen is gonna do it that’s great. If he’s gonna continue to make mistakes I’m gonna complain about the mistakes simple as that.
Is is simplistic to say that you dislike Vigen and have since you joined the board?
I’m pretty sure Vigen stole his lunch money when they were kids.
No, he just stole my faith in his ability to coach last year
He has only been head coach during the most successful span in the history of our program. Seems like those of pretty solid results. You however might be the definition of an entitled fan.
Tony Storti ‘56-‘58 is a better three year span than Vigen’s.
But you would have fired Storti after his first two seasons when he went 6-9.
Couldn’t have fired him, he was the AD too. And he was rebuilding when he went 6-9, I give rebuilds a longer leash. Vigen hasn’t been in the same county as a rebuild.
Just keep moving that bar.

I can’t believe you are still trying to have this discussion. How old are you? I am guessing that you have only been a Cat fan for a decade and think these runs of success are normal. They aren’t! You had to go back 70 years for a comparison. Give it a break. If Vigen misses the playoffs, let’s have a discussion. But weak zero against an FBS team after making runs in the playoffs for every year he has been here is lunacy.

I really like Vigen, actually think he’s the best coach we’ve had, but all coaches are open to criticism. Logic like yours would’ve made it so Ash was never fired.
Wrong. Ash was definitely on a downturn. There is nothing that indicates any downward trajectory with Vigen. If anything, this might be the most talented team since we have fielded since we were in Frisco.

Hardly, Choate did the rebuilding after Ash and you know it. At least I have expectations. You’d be happy to take 8 win seasons in a watered down division for the next 20 years. I see a division that is the worst it’s ever been and the most talented Bobcat teams ever. There’s only one acceptable result, everything else is underperformance.

Bingo. Enjoy the frickin’ ride.

The fact is that there is more to coaching and building a program than just “W’s”. And Vigen has done a good job. He stepped into a great program and has strengthened the foundation of that program, We ALL want a national title for the Cats. But calling for coach’s jobs because things aren’t going the way YOU, as a fan, expect them to go is overboard. These guys have families and lives outside of football. This isn’t NCAA on a PlayStation. Losing jobs has real consequences for real families.

I highly, highly doubt that anyone spouting off about firing coaches hasn’t met or looked their families in the eye. When you humanize those words, they become much harder to say.

You have unrealistic expectations. Firing a coach after one sub par season or in the middle of a game that the team is behind in, is over the top ridiculous. I think you are just trolling the true Cat fans here.

Maybe take this little Cat fight to PM? Just a suggestion. I juped on here checking to see if there were any more relevant comments\posts following the game. I finally found one when Colter posted that insane speed video of Adam Jones! That's pretty incredible. I have no idea how we end up with several RBs on the roster every year that could start for many FBS schools. Yet here we are.

I highly, highly doubt that anyone spouting off about firing coaches hasn’t met or looked their families in the eye. When you humanize those words, they become much harder to say.
He can fall out of bed into another job, after all beating the gris once and smelling a national championship is good enough, some say it’s great. Right?

I don’t know if you’ve ever hired or fired anyone, but hiring is not a charity. And if he doesn’t get another coaching job, there’s plenty of insurance to be sold in the world. The implication that his family will end up on the street is completely ridiculous.

Reflecting back on Saturday’s game. We made a lot of mistakes. But we overcame them. Not a single person on the offensive line started in their position from last year.
Tommy made some bad reads and needed to knock the rust off and did so and improved as the game moved along. As Coach said, the secondary was in position due to scheme, but needs to improve on watching for the ball. And one final thought, I will guarantee you that New Mexico had a chip on their shoulder being underdogs at home to an FCS team. They had some tricks in their bag and gave us everything and we came out on top. We need to keep improving and getting healthy as the season progresses. believe it or not a couple of teams on the next three games do you have some bright spots on their team and hopefully we don’t overlook them and we get some good depth experience.

Tony Storti ‘56-‘57 Herb Agocs ‘58 is a better three year span than Vigen’s. 27-3-1
“Oh no we suck again”

Past embarrassments are no excuse for current mediocrity. Making the playoffs are underperformance without a win in Frisco. And how about doing better than 1-2 against the gris?? Is that too much to ask??
ENTITLED FAN. DELUSIONAL FAN. You have no appreciation for how hard it is to be successful at this level. No appreciation for our recent success. Won 4 of the last 6 against the Gris. The only embarrassment I see is an entitled fan that acts more like the Griz fans than a loyal Cat fan.
The unfortunate thing about being 4-2 is Vigen only won one of those. I’m entitled to expectations and opinions just as you are entitled to expectations and opinions. If you guys are content with eight wins, a loss to the gris and a loss in the playoffs, that’s cool. I’m not.

I remember when the team sucked, but I also know that they don’t suck now which means the expectations are higher.

I might be entitled expecting more wins than eight, but you’re being unrealistic if you can’t adjust expectations based on talent and degradation of the division.

Has anybody said they’re content with 8-4 and a loss to UM + early loss in the playoffs? Who has said that? Last year was certainly disappointing, but I don’t think I’ve seen anybody say differently. Nobody, from the fans, to the coaches, to the players, is content with last year. Vigen has shown over multiple years that he’s a good coach. Not perfect, still growing and learning, but still a good coach. More performances like last year could justify a firing, but he doesn’t need to get fired because he’s not Choate (who had bad losses too).
