Thanks to the Foundation

Post by WalkOn79 » Mon Sep 02, 2024 8:00 pm

I just wanted to take a moment to publicly thank the Alumni Foundation, and Kerry Hanson, Lauren Anderson and Calista in particular for going the extra mile to turn a potential disaster into a positive experience. For those of you that didn’t make that trip, one of the buses for the charter out of Vegas had their air conditioner go out, while the other’s air went out like half way to Saint George. The bus company didn’t have any replacement busses and really didn’t do anything to help, but the girls figured out alternate transportation with the help of the event coordinator from New York New York and the Aughney brothers and everybody got to the tailgate and the game even if some of us were a few hours late. They also got us back to Vegas safely and on-time.

Thanks ladies!! =D^ =D^ =D^ =D^ =D^

Glad it all worked out! I wasn't able to make this trip but I thought it was a fantastic idea to meet in Vegas and bus people to St. George. I'd love to hit it up next time we play there.

Heard about it and that would have been rough. We went to Zion NP in the morning when somewhat cool yet. By mid afternoon when we got back to St George it was 106. So I can’t imagine getting on a bus with no AC in those temps even for an hour or two! Glad they were able to help out!

I appreciate what the AF folks do trying to handle logistics arrangements in a lot of different locales where people don’t believe them that hundreds of rowdy Montana State fans are going to descend on them and they will be looking for a party! Our AF folks can’t control how the local folks respond but they try hard to make it enjoyable for those of us who do get there! It was another pretty good crowd at Utah Tech!

Funny story regarding the game in Wyoming. Tailgate was set up and ready (by the way it was oversubscribed so some were unable to get in). AF folks show up, not sure if it was Kerry or one of the other fine folks, but asked how much beer they had. When they advised how much was on hand, the immediate response was "well that will last about 15 minutes!" Ha! To the credit of the local Wyoming crew running the tailgate they quickly brought in a van load of beer....I think the van held about 26 cases of beer but my numbers might be off a bit.... but you would think a Wyoming crew would understand Bobcat tailgaters BEFORE they had to be told.
