Anybody going to EWU?
I just talked to their ticket office, and evidently the tickets they allocated to MSU this year are in the corner section of the end zone. Wondering if I should buy tickets there or if typically MSU fans are scattered all over the stadium, especially on the home sideline? Thanks in advance.

Re: Anybody going to EWU?
Typically MSU fans are concentrated in the small set of bleachers behind the visiting bench, but EWU has moved their student section here this year. There are usually a few Bobcat fans on the home sideline but not many, so I'd guess that the majority will move to the end zone and that area will be mostly Bobcat fans.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:36 amI just talked to their ticket office, and evidently the tickets they allocated to MSU this year are in the corner section of the end zone. That is absolutely going to be horrible for visiting teams. Those stands are about an arms length from touching the players.

Should be fun walking through the bleachers to the end zone seats from tailgates or concessions stands with the student section there.

Re: Anybody going to EWU?
EWU has the worst fans in the conference. Would not be shocked if there are multiple incidents this year involving that student section being next to the visiting bench, particularly our game and when they play the Griz

Think we're going to buy the end zone and see if we can move over if the student section isn't full.

Not to mention, it’s gonna be mostly empty in that student section unless they give most of the tickets away

I usually make the trip to Cheney every year that we are there. I spent a couple of days in Spokane and Coeur d’Alene and have a blast.

I used to go. The stands are awful, the accommodations are awful. The bathrooms are awful. But the gateway project is great.

Re: Anybody going to EWU?
EWU is the funnest away trip, and I wish we still went. You know the drill, kids, wife, life, etc. if you can go, go. We used to stay in Spokane and do the alumni deal, which was awesome, they do such a good job. Then we started to stay at the circling raven or northern quest, and it was a straight up blast. Circling raven because of the golf, not so much the casino, and the northern quest has all the entertainment you need for a night or two. Just a fun trip, and I will be getting back into it about 15-17 years from now.
If your left, you aren’t right.

I’ve stayed at the northern quest on those weekends. Lots of great places to eat all over Spokane. One cool little bar in Cheney. I usually stay downtown Coeur d’Alene in one of the older seasonal motels now. Couple of the managers know me and will keep a room open really cheap and I can walk all over downtown Coeur d’Alene. Hudson‘s hamburgers in Coeur d’Alene is a must stop. Always forget the great breakfast place name on the east end of downtown Coeur d’Alene on the north side of the street? Dick hamburgers in Spokane spaghetti factory, in Spokane.Hi-Line Bobcat wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 10:15 pmEWU is the funnest away trip, and I wish we still went. Couple of big salvage yards for classic car parts in Spokane and North in Sandpoint mix for a fun day for me

Is The Onion still open in Spokane? I used to love that place for a sandwich and a beer. Haven't been out there in probably 10 years though.kwcat wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:12 amI’ve stayed at the northern quest on those weekends. Lots of great places to eat all over Spokane. I ate there a couple of years ago when I went to a zags game. I would assume it’s still open.91catAlum wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:20 amIs The Onion still open in Spokane? Re: Anybody going to EWU?
Google currently lists the downtown location as "temporarily closed", but their website doesn't mention anything about that. The last couple times we've been there the food hasn't been as good as I remember it being pre-Covid, but they do have a very impressive selection of beers available!91catAlum wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 9:20 amIs The Onion still open in Spokane? The key to enjoying a MSU-EWU football road trip is to spend as little time as possible in Cheney aside from the football game itself, and as much time as possible having fun elsewhere.

Re: Anybody going to EWU?
I’ll ikely make the trip again. I’m always frustrated at how good ewooo was, despite thru sodium and fan support. Their game day experience has also left me frustrated. But it’s great to make the trip and watch our Cats go to work on that ugly field.
