Betting Lines

Show Cats as 38.5 point favorites. I think it's going to be uglier than that. I think I'll go make some money. They have Portland State getting beat by Boise State at a higher margin that what the Cats will do to Mercyhurst. That game is 41.5.

UM is 16.5 point favorites over the Catamounts.

Considering I expect most of the 2nd string to be in before half and third string will get considerable time, I ain't touching a bet on this game except for an outright Cats win bet (which I am sure isn't even worth the time it would take to place).

Ya, take the overs, whatever it is but, avoid the line.

Lot's of scared money in the thread. Cats should crush these guys even with the backups in. Imagine what the O-line is going to do to this team. I'm putting a healthy dose of dollars on the spread. And when they score 40 in the first half, I hope I don't have to sweat it out.

I was feeling pretty good about a three-game $20 parlay halftime at the Maine game.

Had NoDak +4.5 against the Gris and Georgia Southern +1.5 against the Nevada .

Both covered and the Bobcats were up 31-7. Then the backups come in and Maine had a chance to get within 10 with 5 minutes left. Blew my $112 net and this is why I rarely gamble.

My only lock of the year was New Mexico +13.5 at kickoff but it again was only $20. Had to make a steak on that one and still see the Bobcats win.

Seattle to Billings to Missoula to Bozeman to Portland to Billings

What a ride

I hope you’re referring to yourself when you say scared money

After seeing how fast Vigen calls off the dogs, I’m not putting any money on Bobcat football until conference games start.

Were any of those teams a borderline NAIA team?

I just have a hard time thinking that team will be able to stop our 2nd teamers from scoring at will. Maybe I'm wrong.

SONOFA$&%*$(*&. I literally meant to put $$ down last night but figured I'd just do it tody because since the UNM game, Those betting lines have not moved at all from initial opening. Crap. I figured the rest of the betting world would quickly figure out what I, and a bunch of others pretty much said in that the 38.5 wasn't nearly enough. Who knows though, I guess this could end up being one of those surprise deals where they do keep it closer than 38.5 and I'll look back and see that sometimes things work out for the best! I doubt it though.

I could not agree more, but as has been seen and discussed in the past, once the #2s hit the field, the offense turns very vanilla and the clock just runs.

Cats win by 39, ouch! This kind of thing is why I don't bet except a few bets for fun if I'm in Vegas.

I warned folks.

Coach Vigen is committed to getting his 2nd and 3rd teamers into these non-conference blowouts so, the smart move is not to bet them to cover but to take the overs........I think every pre-season game this strategy was a winner??

They covered the 38.5. It was the Insane jump to 48.5 the last couple days was the bad bet. That isn't based in what score is expected bit the money coming in on bets.

Aaand that's how it played out. Still kicking myself. I was all set to do the parlay with Cats covering the 38.5 and Griz game being closer than 16.5, then in one day when the Cats line went to 48.5 I layed off that. Procrastination.

Holt Arena certainly doesn't lend itself to big blowout, does it? It's always been a weird place to play for our boys. I hope they bring their own juice on Saturday; they're going to need it.

griz fans; keeping it classy and gracious in winning since ... well, never.
