I had a buddy in college everyone called T-Roy. As far as nicknames go it's pretty solid.AFCAT wrote: ↑Tue Oct 01, 2024 9:22 amT-Roy! I may have to call him T-Roy from now on.

Sounds like Troy was ruled out for this week, which isn’t terribly surprising considering the short week.

Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
Seems like he’s going to be okay. But who knows? They said JJ McCarthy was going to be okay, too.
Saw this quote from his coach re: last game:
“The guy was flying around, making a bunch of plays, making a bunch of tackles,” Morris said Sunday. “He plays with tremendous speed. He plays with a tremendous violence that we love, and he got it done for us. It was awesome.”
We’ve all seen that before, but it’s always cool to hear others see it. Makes you proud to be a Montanan. He has the potential to go down as the greatest athlete from Montana. I think Dave McNally (Billings) is #1 and Pat Donavan (Helena) is #2. McNally two WS rings and two runners up; multi 20-game winner; multiple ASG appearances. Donovan one SB ring and two runners up; 4-time Pro Bowl; 4-time second team All-Pro. Andersen one-time NFC POW. LOL he has a ways to go though.

Just heard Herbstriet refer to Troy as the Falcons’ best defender and they talked about he was NFC Defensive player of the week

Falcon D is getting shredded. 24 points in first half. Allowing 8.9 yards per play.

Is Troy going to make it long in the NFL? Injuries have been brutal for him so far.

McNally is still the only pitcher in history to hit a grand slam to win his own game. It’s my understanding he still makes O’s fans’ list of favorite Orioles.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 6:28 amSeems like he’s going to be okay. But who knows? They said JJ McCarthy was going to be okay, too.

The cool fact about Donovan was that he was drafted as a D-lineman and was converted to the O-line in training camp and still made the team.Cledus wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:01 pmMcNally is still the only pitcher in history to hit a grand slam to win his own game. Re: Troy Freaking Andersen!
The first thing that jumped out at me (after Alex Singleton's name) was Kelly Gregg. A bunch of linebackers, a handful of safeties...and one 5'11" 300+ pound nose tackle who ran a 5.3 at the combine. Obviously part of the story is that 40 yard dashes are stupid, but I am curious about the rest of the story there

The Falcon defense is much better with a fully healthy Troy on the field. Fact.

The odds anyone has a long(?) NFL career are not good. I think the average RB career was 3 years, but that might've been back when running was more prevalent. The Butcher wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 8:25 pmIs Troy going to make it long in the NFL? Injuries have been brutal for him so far.

Yep, All America offensive lineman at Stanford. Also, a straight A student. Perhaps the greatest all-around athlete from Montana. Led his hoop team to the state title, won numerous track and field events. He was very fast, also. I think they'd run him in the 4x110 relay sometimes.AFCAT wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:09 pmThe cool fact about Donovan was that he was drafted as a D-lineman and was converted to the O-line in training camp and still made the team.Cledus wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 9:01 pmMcNally is still the only pitcher in history to hit a grand slam to win his own game. Well, that was just a snapshot, but I tend to agree with you. I don't think Troy is at full Troy yet either. Hopefully, he can chase off the injury bug and get rolling.
