To me it looks like they have Gilliam, Osmos, Bergen, maybe Fife. Who am I missing? Not that they are not good, but they seem to be down.

Re: FCS Games 10/26
Man, I expected to see a dilapidated dump of a stadium but looking at pictures, it doesn’t look that bad.Their stadium seats nearly 17,000 fans and has a huge parking area on the other side of the stadium with quick access to a highway and what looks like some party areas. Get rid the track though. Obviously, Murray has a road ahead of them to be competitive but their facility at least looks better than some in the Big Sky.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 1:35 pmNDSU vs Murray State. Five touchdowns in four possessions. One pick six. 35-3 midway through the 2nd quarter. The Bison are not suffering any malaise following the highly charged SDSU game in the FargoDome. Bison just got a second interception.
Murray St. seems to be a perfect example of the FCS apparently accepting anyone that wants to move up. It’s not the team altogether — although they have 59 transfers this year! The QB and one WR are pretty good and they could lose this by 100 points but the Bison have backup offensive players like the QB and RB in already.
The problem is the environment. Embarrassing to put this on TV. The football field has seating only on one side. The other side is simply open to real fields — the agricultural type. The seating that they have is way too big for the few hundred people that may be at the game. There look to be as many Bison fans but it would only take about a half-dozen motorhomes and a 1962 VW van to get enough Fargo people there to have a majority. This is the least D-1 looking field and fans that I remember seeing in FCS. Sad. Division 2 or 3. Carroll College looks like the Super Bowl compared to this.

That was the las last play of the game, but there were 24 seconds left then. Could have run another play but let the clock run.
Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14.

No they didn’t. Hauck was sending in another play because he thought the wr went out of bounds. He didn’t realize it was running.

Bergen was hurt right at the two minute stop. He limped off the field. Wtf! That’s horrible. Great player and he’s in up 24-0. Hope he isn’t out for the season.

Sac State goes for it on 4th and 3 and just makes a hash of it. ISU blitz gets home and gets a touchdown on a scoop and score. 14-14 now and Sac just punted. The Bengals with lots of momentum late in the first half.

Thanks, wasn't too sure about Ah Yat. He is young and can be developed.

Not FCS, but New Mexico should be beating Colorado State but they keep shooting themselves in the foot with turnovers and missed opportunities. Currently 17-6, start of the 4th. One of CSUs TDs was on a punt return.
Edit: Dampier needs to work on his maturity a bit.

Re: FCS Games 10/26
Thanks! I didn’t realize they were OG. Clearly they suffer for funding in a rural area of a mostly rural state that is dominated by the population centers in Louisville and Lexington. It must be frustrating. They really got their ears boxed today. The Bison #2s and #3s surrendered almost an TD and were held to a field goal before I averted my eyes at the end of the third. Gave me reason to believe our #2s and #3s will be just fine as they mature. I have relatively close relatives in Fargo and Minot so I watch more Bizon games than is healthful.MSU01 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 2:12 pmMurray State has been a 1-AA/FCS team since the division began in 1978, but they've definitely been thoroughly overmatched since joining the MVFC.Bobcat4Ever wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 1:35 pmNDSU vs Murray State. Murray St. has a fine runout and TD tradition given their horse-state location. A small set of starting gates launch a thoroughbred with rider and flag across the field ahead of the team, and the horse and rider circle the field each time the home team scores a TD.

Re: FCS Games 10/26
If that is the case then way to go hauck. Try to keep scoring with the 1s and risking players when they shouldn't have been anywhere close to the field. If that was the case.

ISU scores a TD with less than a minute to go in the half. Their defense promptly gives up a touchdown to Sac. 21-21 at the half.

If Bergen is 5, then that’s what happened. I didn’t see Bergen back in the game after that but you would think after that Hauck would keep him out. Who knows?

SDSU and USD both scored on their first possessions and it's 7-7 near the end of the first quarter. Would be nice to watch it but it's on the black hole of sports broadcasting, ESPNU.

I'm so disappointed them moved it off ESPN+. That was the one FCS game I wanted to watch this week.
