October Exhibitions for the Men

Post by lv2hoop » Wed Sep 18, 2024 6:00 pm

Dates are unknown but sometime in October, the Cat men will host MSU-Billings and travel to play at Utah Valley. Not sure if they are audience games or closed door.

The men held an inter squad scrimmage last Saturday. They are playing MSU-Billings on 16 Oct and I’m not sure if that’s an open exhibition or a closed scrimmage. They’re also playing Utah Valley down at their place sometime this month.

Then it’s off to Madison, WI and Wichita State in that first week of games in early November. I’m hitting that Midwest road swing and looking forward to Madison, WI vs. the Badgers for the season opener. We’ve got an interesting team with some veterans back for years 4 and 5 plus a bunch of new faces that I’m hearing lots of positives about.

Was this the official Blue/Gold game or just a scrimmage?

Not sure if it was the Blue-Gold game or not. I know they had real officials blowing the whistle and they had the scoreboard turned on.

I am not particularly trilled with the marketing of either the men's or women's team this year.

Thanks for the info, should be another fun year. Let's go for four in a row!

Men just got done with an unofficial scrimmage vs. MSU-Billings. I’ve got reports that we looked good - final score was a wide margin in our favor.

Have you heard anything on who the starting point guard will be?

Jabe Mullins, Bryce Zephir & Jed Miller are all in the mix at the point guard position from what I can gather.

Raring to get the season going, and loving his teammates. Going full speed after another off season of surgery/recovery from the foot injury.

The MBB Facebook has a Tyler Patterson video with the date 11-4-2024 highlighted on the post.

I know there is a meet up on 11-5. Does anyone know what the 11-4-2024 reference is about?

11/4 is the official first day of the new season, although MSU doesn't play its opener until the 7th against Wisconsin.
