Really interesting to see how this plays out down the stretch. Very curious to see the UM-UCD game, that'll tell a lot. Griz win? Maybe they actually did figure some defensive things out, or their O is good enough to make them competitive with some of the top teams. UCD blows them out in Wa-Griz, maybe they deserve a spot at the contender's table. Does anyone know if USD and NDSU play? That would be a huge game that would tell us a lot about who the real contenders are too.
Yep. Same day as Cat/Griz. At South Dakota
Well, I won't be paying too much attention at the time then. But boy, that could have massive implications.

2 MSU
3 SDSU
4 South Dakota

6 SEMO
7 Idaho
8 Mercer
9 UIW
10 dumb
Order makes sense. We either win out and validate our #2 seed or we lose somewhere and SDSU slides in. Same with 4/5. If either team beats their 1/2 opponent they'll lock down the 4 seed at a minimum. I expect the bottom half to be in flux until Selection Sunday.

I have a really, really, fun take.

The Griz are probably a top 5 team right now.

We’re significantly better than them right now.

Predicting forward saying everything goes chalk. USD loses to NDSU but win their other games and Davis beat the gris but lose to the Cats.

1 NDSU
2 MSU
3 SDSU
4 SEMO
5 Idaho
6 Mercer
7 USD
8 Davis

????? not a fan of this after I did it. USD in the quarters, and SDSU in the Semi's. Ugh

Maybe this

1 NDSU
2 MSU
3 SDSU
4 SEMO
5 Idaho
6 USD
7 Davis
8 Mercer

It would set up a Davis rematch in the quarters but it would be in Bozeman. Kinda like this one better.

Maybe a hot take? Saying they fixed the defense because of how they played versus NAU on it 3rd string QB that couldn't throw it more than 5 yards downfield and and UNC is bold? No its its misguided. Probably won't know till late next Saturday. I think they lose both those games and get something like a 14 seed and a trip to Brookings for the 2nd round.

Right now I wouldn't be too upset with labeling them a top 6 team but top 5 is probably high.

I don't think losing to the #1 team would drop the Yotes from the 4 to out of the top eight. 8-3 and I think SIU was still ranked when they played them so they would have 2 ranked wins.

The majority of my reasoning is I don’t think the FCS is all that great outside of a few teams.

They would have 2 then ranked wins, but 1 now ranked win. Even with an SOS inside the top 15, 1 now ranked win for an 8-3 team shouldn't be enough for a seed.

Currently, yes. But if other teams continue not losing, and they lose another one, their resume won't back up being seeded.

Obviously it won't happen because most of these teams play one of the others but with this ranking the bracket would have Montana would go to Idaho after its first round game and the winner would play MSU in the Quarters. I'd be ok with that.
They can't find anyone else in the country to play than give conference opponents early match ups. :-k

USD's resume doesn't back up being seeded right now and yet the people who seed them says they are the 4 seed. No currently ranked wins, only 5 D1 wins (played a D2 and had the PSU forfeit). Wild that you think that changes by beating a ranked team and losing to the #1.

Do game results not matter? It would be one thing if they got ran off the field last weekend against SDSU. But they didn't. They stood toe to toe with the defending national champs, on the road in what had to have been a hostile environment, and had a legitimate chance to win the game. That means something to everyone except you, evidently....

Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.

I don't think losing to the #1 team would drop the Yotes from the 4 to out of the top eight. 8-3 and I think SIU was still ranked when they played them so they would have 2 ranked wins.
They would have 2 then ranked wins, but 1 now ranked win. Even with an SOS inside the top 15, 1 now ranked win for an 8-3 team shouldn't be enough for a seed.
They are a seed even with out a now ranked win. They haven't beaten UND yet.
Currently, yes. But if other teams continue not losing, and they lose another one, their resume won't back up being seeded.

No you missed the entire discussion. I was arguing that they will be a seed even if they lose to NDSU the last week of the season. BB is saying they won't. Your issue is with Bleeding not me.
