Take (almost) all the criticism on BN as a mark of respect @Colter_Nuanez. I would bet most, if not all, the regulars here care what you do/say/write because we value your coverage of MSU, the state of Montana and the BSC. We hold you to a higher standard than your colleagues (I can't bring myself to refer to them as peers) because you're so good at what you do.

I don't know if I missed the comments that sparked this discussion or I just didn't notice them but what we have to remember is that media is a business and Colter can't be as blunt as we would be, towards either team in either direction. If he was just a guy in a regular conversation I'd say he's being to generous too the griz sometimes but he's not just a guy. That doesn't necessarily make him wrong.

Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

I think those that think we talk up the Griz and talk down the Cats don't listen to all the shows or the content...

We have consistently for almost 8 weeks straight been debating if this is the best Big Sky team in relativity to its competition in the history of our time covering Big Sky football with both Ty Gregorak and Mike Rider. Just finished doing a Big Sky power rankings with Sammy Akem and he said it's not close, Cats are No. 1. Cats are in a tier all their own. And I'm completely agree.

I have said more this season than any in my 18-year career that this Bobcat team is dominant, special and has all the juice to make a deep run and is the top national title contender of any of the 15 MSU teams I've covered.

Also, you are reading too deeply into what I said about MSU and EWU. I think Montana State will smash EWU. Just like I think MSU will smash every team on its schedule. We sometimes have to placate to drive some sort of interest in the games that aren't the biggest games. Montana State is 4-TD favorites against almost every team in the league....

Montana State is head and shoulders better than anyone in the Big Sky and that is both because Montana State is historically deep and talented, and that the rest of the Big Sky is down.

I do a total of about 23 hours of recorded content every week. It's hard to be concise and get the overall points of all of it unless you listen to all of it.

One last note - if you noticed, we did 80 percent of our content the week of the Vandals-Bobcats game on that game. That will again be the case the UC Davis game and the Brawl coming up.

This week's Tuesdays with Tootell doesn't have much when it comes to the Cats because....they didn't play...

As always, thanks for the feed back!!
One of the things that I really love about this team so far. Offensively, I think we are just doing what we do, and not going overboard trying to exploit any weaknesses of our opponent. In other words, I haven't seen an occasion where I've felt like we have outsmarted ourselves. We just do what we do and know that no one is going to stop it.
I disagree a little. I think the Cats have utilized different pieces of the offense depending on what the oppone t runs defensively. Some games TE involved in passing game, sometimes the RB. Sometimes more passing than running early. Last year they got caught trying to force doing what the do. This year they dont

I listen to most of your stuff. Cats, griz, vandals, bengals. Whoever, I love football. I love listening to people talk about football. Nobody covers the Big Sky like you guys do. The QB situation in Missoula is fascinating and I debate it with my griz buddies all the time. Hell I even caught myself singing the stupid cash one pawn jingle the other day!
Isn't that jingle just solid gold!? A dude who used to work at Cash 1 Pawn wrote it.

Check this video out. He's hilarious!

That would stink if Visparis can’t play. I don’t want another reason for people to discount a Cats victory.

I guess I've never really understood that logic, nor do I care if other people discount Cat victories. Injuries are a part of the game, and normally the teams that can overcome them and have enough talented depth behind their injured starts... will win it all. I remember a few years ago heading into a Cat Griz game and someone said something similar in that they hoped all the Griz players were healthy and able to play so that we could prove it and "beat them at their best". That's BS. So let's say they do get their star QB back in time for the game, then Tommy gets injured on the first play and they beat us? Now granted, of course I wish that no player on any team would ever get injured, but it's part of the game.

This “controversy” over Skyline Sports is just ridiculous.

Nobody has better coverage or analysis of the BSC … period.

Keep it coming.

While I think @Colter_Nuanez himself is actually really neutral in his coverage, he doesn’t have to be. It is ok to be a fan and cover the teams/conference.

I think @TomCat88 likely has some fan bias and I love his coverage and analysis too.

Good work Skyline Sports!

Wait … what’s BS?

That fans want to see games where both teams enter and leave the game healthy?

That fans want their team to beat their opponent at full strength?

I don’t want to see any of these young men get hurt or stay hurt. I like seeing Bobcat football played at its highest levels against the best teams.

I understand injuries are part of the game, and our Bobcats have suffered plenty this season, but I don’t hope for any of these athletes on any team to be injured. I don’t think that’s a BS point of view.

No, sorry, I'm not making my point very well. Of course I never wish injury on any players from any team ever. I guess another way to put it is... I'm not going to sit here and really hope that the Griz are able to get key star players back just in time to play us, if I'm being honest. I would love to go into that game with Schmidt, Dannu U, Steele, Perk, Dowler, etc... but that's not gonna happen Injuries are just a big part of this game.

I appreciate your honesty. I'm sure a lot of fans feel the same way.

I don't. I do genuinely hope our opponents have their stars in top shape, and I hope those stars are healthy and uninjured after the Cats trounce them. I'm not sure how that's a BS point of view. I don't think I'm alone either.

I mean, that's fine to say and I can
t argue it but I tend to agree with catatac on this one. Injuries happen to every team. We have a ton of injuries to some very key players. Do you think any team trying to knock us off cares about that? Tommy was VERY important to us in Frisco and we lost him right away. You think NDSU or their fans care? Not at all.

I share the line of thinking that none of us WANT to see players get hurt. Hell, I don't WANT to see griz players hurt! But some will. And I still want to blast them and I don't care if we do it with them at full strength or if we do it with them missing players to injury.

Just my opinion of course.

Which would you rather have? Victory against the full strength opponent or the injured opponent?

I would prefer the former. But that's just me. YMMV

Sorry for the thread derailment, Skyline Sports! Thanks for the Cats coverage!

Well I have never seen a team at full strength other than occasionally the first game of the season. You find me a team this late in the season without any injuries and perhaps I'd change my mind.

I think most people who say they don’t want to see the other teams best players out are just saying that to make themselves feel better about the part of themselves that wants other teams players to be out. Anyone who argues this with me is especially guilty. Lol!
