Tommy Freaking Mellott!!!
Cannot say enough, and the plays he's made are too numerous to recount. However, I'm watching the replay now and that first TD, watch his instincts when that defender was coming at him. No idea how he saw that, spun around, started to run, and probably could have run for a TD but saw wide open Rohan.... damn that was sweet.
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

Probably the second best game he’s played. First being at UNM. He’s had better numbers but these games put his savvy - as you mentioned about that play - on display.
MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

For years I've wanted great Bobcat QB who was a Montana kid like Dave Dickenson was for the frittzzers. Tommy is that guy.

Re: Tommy Freaking Mellott!!!
After he spun away and started to wind up for the throw I was wondering what the hell he was doing, he had an easy 15 yd gain in front of him to get the 1st down.
Then I saw Rohan and how open he was. Made sense.
Tommy had a great game throwing the ball. This offense is so dynamic and hard to stop when they can throw like that if the rare occasion happens where the run game isn’t having its best game.

It's made such a huge difference for him being the only QB. Nothing against Chambers, but Tommy and the whole offense are just clicking so well this year. And I think Tommy and Walker have a much better relationship than he did with Housewright.

The determination of this young man to win is incredible. You can just see it in his face how poised he is to lead us back to Frisco.

Great article. You can almost swap out "Butte" with the "State of Montana" in every instance. So proud to have such a class act at QB1.

Another game, another epic performance! He's just an amazing football player, and an amazing young man. Totally on a mission this year.
And I saw this in an article by 406 Sports...Also on Friday, Montana State quarterback Tommy Mellott was placed on the negotiation list of the Calgary Stampeders, who are coached by Great Falls native and former Griz quarterback Dave Dickenson. Former Bobcat offensive lineman Lewis Kidd was put on the negotiation list of the Roughriders.

I wonder if he'll pursue any football opportunities after this season ends?Montanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 11:00 pma really good fit for cfl..... wider field and lots of passing. he could be a superstarnanacat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 10:26 pmAnother game, another epic performance! I hope so, but would totally understand if he didn't want to go that direction. I personally believe he has NFL level talent. Not sure if he's an NFL QB, but I know for a fact he could compete in the league, as a receiver or an RB most likely.nanacat wrote: ↑Sat Dec 14, 2024 8:10 amI wonder if he'll pursue any football opportunities after this season ends?Montanabob wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 11:00 pma really good fit for cfl..... wider field and lots of passing. he could be a superstarnanacat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 10:26 pmAnother game, another epic performance! Re: Tommy Freaking Mellott!!!
Thinking of Travis Lulay in the CFL. I think TL was a better passer than Tommy is, but TM has better wheels. Would love to see Tommy either place. Lulay was fun to watch — haven’t watched a CFL game since he left.catatac wrote: ↑Sun Dec 15, 2024 2:56 pmI hope so, but would totally understand if he didn't want to go that direction.
