Does anyone know the origins of the chant? Or how it got to be affiliated with Mony Mony?

not sure of the origin, but I remember hearing it at my first Cat/Griz game in ‘97.

I love the chant when I hear the song in the car, and in public one day a year. When people chant it while playing other teams, it's cringe worthy. It's absolutely fantastic on Cat/Griz day.

This is my exact thought on it as well. I LOVE it during cat/griz when we’re putting the final touches of another beat down, but that’s about where it needs to end, imo.
I don’t hate it during other games, but I’d prefer for it to not be chanted. Oh well though, the silver lining is that griz fans absolutely hate it, and that kid of makes it worth it.

I actually laughed at that question and answer. Bobby is usually a dick in his responses, even to fairly innocent questions. But that was an asinine question, and his response was pretty funny actually.

I believe it was Frank Gogola that asked it.

His initial response was “well I’d rather be 6-0 Frank” and then went on to say something along the lines of “what kind of question is that, what am I supposed to say? ‘I suppose 2-4 is pretty good’?”

I am 100 percent behind chanting this no matter who we are playing. After decades of dealing with obnoxious gris fans when they were good and we sucked, there isn’t a day goes by that I don’t want them to in fact, eat sh**
That it seems to bother them makes it all the more enjoyable.

This is about the only time I'm with Bobby on how he handled a question. What a ****** question. And right before that he asked one of the players something to the effect of "when you came in the program the senior class was 0-4 against the Cats and you're 2-2. How does that make you feel?"

The 4th video clearly shows Bobby pulling down the arms of the kid who’s flipping off the student section….


I do agree with your sentiment though. Some pretty crazy stuff goes on in college football this isn’t anything I don’t think
