We earned a #1 seed this year. Considering that other than covid year and one break for JMU (no longer FCS) the last decade plus has been owned by NDSU and now SDSU, no we haven't earned the idea of being a team that finishes with raising the trophy. Those two teams are seeded right behind us, if they were having down years and either missing the playoffs or low/non seeded then yeah MSU should be considered an odds on favorite given resume only. However, those teams have nearly as good of resumes and have proven numerous times to be able to win it all.
