I would like to respectfully ask Booby if he thought yesterday's game was an ass whoopin?
I would pay money to hear a reporter ask him that.
Somebody did ask him how he feels about being 2-4 against MSU since his return to missoula, which I thought was ballsy.
It wasn’t ballsy, it was just a plain stupid question.
Just as bad as all those, “how do you feel about winning?”
Like…hire a 6 year old to ask questions if that’s the best you can come up with.
Who cares if it's a dumb question, it's Bobby Hauck. He's always been an ass to the media and now that he's 2-4 against MSU since his return it's fun to see him get his nose rubbed in it.
Sure, I just think there are better ways for a professional to phrase that questions. Sports reporters are always doing the “how does it feel…”
It’s the worst, laziest way to get a response. And if I was Bobby, I probably would’ve responded the same way. Really can’t say I blame him here.

We are talking about a bunch of 18-21 year olds jawing at each other in a rival game. Seems pretty normal to me.
I sure hope I'm not held accountable for some of the things I've said at Cat-gris in the past.
I try to keep that in mind and not sit too high on my moral horse for this stuff. Unless it's booby hawk tuah. F$@k that guy.
Yeah, it always annoys me when either the Bobcats or Griz fans try to accuse the other group of being "classless" when we've all seen a lot of stuff go down on both sides at these games that probably wouldn't happen without the emotions involved in a game like this mixed with a significant amount of alcohol. I've grown to love the chant over the years and think it's always fun to hear it even if the Bobcats aren't playing the Griz. As for Bobby Hauck, I just had to laugh at his press conferences before and after the game and how he refuses to say "Montana State" or "Bobcats" at any point. He does seem to have a lot of respect for Coach Vigen and "Tommy" though, as they are apparently worthy of being called by their names!

Man, if we are going to go after people for flipping the finger to the Cats or gris, then I'm going to lose my season tickets.
*Note: I only flip off Bobby.

As for the chant. Im in the boat of its awesome when playing the gris. Other than that, its dumb. For instance, we had the Bison in Bozeman last year and we are chanting about the gris. Yawn. Eat S#@! Bison Go Cats Go would have been fantastic.
Back to the rivalry, didn't missoula play mony mony last year when they wafflestomped the Cats? Thats absolutely gold and plays into the fun of the rivalry.
Hating the griz since 02.

I think Bob Hawk retires after next year. There is no way he wants to experience another beat down and have to listen to that chant one more time in Bobcat stadium. You know it was painful for him.
If they lose Saturday, do you think he'll retire this year, contract extension or not?
People have been saying he will retire for a while now. I think he is too young for that and what else would he do? He is a hero over there in Missoula and I can't see him giving that up any time soon. I've been wrong many times before though, so who know's for sure.

He is a hero to about half the Alumni, and fans but not so much with the general missoula populace. In fact a LOT of all of those absolutely despise him here. Eventually the hammer will drop, once Haslam gets canned.
The State of Montana is Bobcat country.
missoula....still just 20 miles from Montana.

When I typed Missoula, I meant the University/football/fans/alumni, not the town in general. We'll see. He wins (not last Saturday) and that's pretty important too.

"How does it feel?" is right up there with "Talk about..."
You went to college for this job and can't even come up with a question?
Eastwood, did not make it. Ball out! Recovered, by Montana State!! The Bobcats hold!!! The Bobcats hold!!!

Ya, I was thinking about other ways he could have phrased that question to get Bobby to open up at all versus throwing a tantrum. Maybe something like, "Bobby, you're 2-4 against the Cats in your second go round, obviously you'd like to be 6-0, to what do you attribute this too considering how lopsided this rivalry was during the first go round. Is it more due to how much the Cats have improved, or have the Griz regressed?"
Great time to be a BOBCAT!

I talked to Jhase's dad as his wife and him went to the game. Here's a video he posted of the mony mony chant... he really didn't understand the significance of the chant when taking the video. He just thought it was a wild atmosphere and wanted to show how great fcs ball is especially in bozeman.
He went on to say that the crowd was awesome. The fans were great to him and his wife. They were greeted with tons of "go cats" "bobcats" and was repeatedly invited to partake of beverages and food from various tailgates, even made friends with an older couple in the stands and was invited out to their tailgate for half time, but the couple was respectful enough to make sure they were back in the stands for the 2nd half kick off because jhase was on the ko team. They were shocked that many of the fans knew who jhase was, that he was from Texas, and they were excited to see him play more. He said the whole vibe was great from beginning to end.
Yall really impressed them and they are really happy that jhase is there because it reminds them of football here in Texas. Their son is happy and they feel that his teammates, the coaches and ironically the city are taking care of him. They feel it's a gem that isn't talked about enough.

This makes me happy. Jhase is going to be a great player in a secondary loaded with young talent.

Great, now I have another Mony Mony video from the game that I have to spend 30 minutes watching over and over and over.
I saw one Mony Mony video online that I’m actually in.
Oh, the weather isn’t like that at every game.

I would have asked something like. “ Coach last year you called the gris 37-7 win an “ass whoopin” so with a final 34-11 Cat victory this year when their second string back totals nearly as many yards as your entire offense and they didn’t even have to pass in the second half…..well was this an “ass whoopin”?

When the Mony Mony song came on at the 2min time out and the players on the sideline went crazy gave me chills!
Plus that seemed to me like the loudest crowd chanting of the song that I have ever heard!
I would love to see everyone's videos from their perspective during the 2min timeout
So post away Bobcat Nation!!
This years particular version of Mony Mony has been building up for awhile, for sure.
