Marcus Wehr is one of three linemen on the Walter Payton watch list.

Edit: Nevermind, the link above is the preseason watch list.

Sam Herder picks Miller over Tommy

I don't know how the Payton Award voting works, but if it is anything like what the polls are like then this is a bad sign for two reasons. Leastly, it's a vote that Mellott won't get. Mostly, it's going to influence a bunch of voters that aren't really paying attention. I hope that the voters are just a select group that actually follows FCS football, nationally.

MSU - 16 team National Champions (most recent 2024); 57 individual National Champions (most recent 2023).

Sam Vidlak who Bobby ran off after last season and ended up at Stephen F. Austin is one of the Walter Payton Award finalists. Talk about a kick in the nuts!!!

Nah, they didn't want him... he sucked. As did McDowell, as did Daniel Britt (He actually might have sucked, I have no idea). Point being, Bobby runs off a lot of QBs. Maybe they don't like getting screamed at and "FU** YOU'd" on national TV? I dunno. That post was somewhat tongue in cheek but it does seem like Bobby has no idea how to recruit, develop, and keep an excellent QB.

Great time to be a BOBCAT!
