I think the griz will be introducing chaos football to SDSU. The Jackrabbits won't know what hit them.

How do they score 7, if they don’t kick it to Bergen? I could see 3, maybe 6, possibly 9.

Re: First-Round of Playoffs
That was one of the ugliest “playoff level” games I’ve seen. Yikes.

Let me guess, eGris is now booking tickets to Frisco, thinking they are ‘back’. This team almost beating UT Martin, Tennessee had 3 turnovers that game, tells me all I need to know about the Cats next opponent.

Actually not quite but after lamenting the play of the griz this game, many are calling for an upset of SDSU.

Re: First-Round of Playoffs
Well, Bergen did go out with a bang. Make it seven wins in eight seasons all with a return for TD. Bergen has been the difference in the last three playoff wins by UM.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 29, 2024 6:28 amThe Griz haven’t won a playoff game in which it didn’t have a return TD since 2015. 2023
Delaware fumble return 49-19
Furman kickoff and punt returns 35-28 OT
Ndsu punt return 31-29 2OT
2022
SE Missouri kickoff return 34-24
2021
E. Washington interception return 57-41
2019
SE Louisiana kick and interception return 73-28
2016-2018

I predict Bergen goes out with a bang. Or does he have another year of eligibility?

Re: First-Round of Playoffs
How many playoff wins does hauck have today without junior Bergen??
Without him, it would be 13 years and counting since they made the semi's.

What happens to them next year with no Bergen? And no consistency at QB?

Re: First-Round of Playoffs
They are very thin on am already thin defense with what's coming back. The 3 main receivers are all seniors. Wonder about Gillman and Fife re: the portal but if they can't significantly improve up front it hardly matters. And it's hard to significantly improve up front at this level in 1 year. We should be seeing that next wave of guys flash for them, the way sharbobo, parsons, Crews, daily et al have this year, the way McCabe and brott did last year, etc. We haven't seen much from them. I think it's a long year next year over there.

Re: First-Round of Playoffs
They'll do the same thing they did this year, load up on transfers. It was amazing last night how many of their players were described as a transfer from some other school. Vigen is building a program from the ground up, while Hauck is desperately chasing his championship with "quick fixes" every year.

Re: First-Round of Playoffs
I was reading the game play-by-play being reported on 406 Sports and they started 3 or 4 guys at least, to fill in for injured players, who haven't been mentioned all season. The Cats are so fortunate to have the depth we do that losing 24 seniors will be tough, but there's a plethora of guys who got alot of real game experience that will be able to fill in many of those spots. There will be holes for sure, but it won't be a total rebuild like over west.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:44 amThey are very thin on am already thin defense with what's coming back.
