Re: TV for playoffs?
Just ESPN+ for this round, I don't believe any of the playoff games will be on local channels. One of the QF games will be on ESPN TV and both of the semifinals, plus the championship game of course.

Some of the next round are on ABC and ESPN. This entire round are all ESPN+ then none after.
I wonder if the Cats vs Idaho would get the Friday night QF?

Seems quite likely since barring an upset of Tarleton over USD this weekend that would allow UC Davis to host a QF game, MSU will be the westernmost quarterfinal host and best suited for the 7 PM MST kickoff time.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:52 pmI wonder if the Cats vs Idaho would get the Friday night QF?

That was my thinking. Plus it would most likely be the shortest travel for the away team.MSU01 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 6:00 pmSeems quite likely since barring an upset of Tarleton over USD this weekend that would allow UC Davis to host a QF game, MSU will be the westernmost quarterfinal host and best suited for the 7 PM MST kickoff time.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 5:52 pmI wonder if the Cats vs Idaho would get the Friday night QF?

Btw to all Cat fans: if you don't have ESPN+ by now, you're just hurting yourself at this point. Every single home OOC game and every conference game is on there, and all the playoff games are on there. ESPN might suck, but ESPN+ is honestly great for FCS fans. Plus you can watch all the other Big Sky and MVFC games on there, as well as some of the other conferences

Oh, I have it but will be yelling in the 101. An older non-techy fan asked and doesn't understand espn+. I'll send him to the bar.

I think either NDSU (most likely in my opinion), or USD host the Friday night game.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2024 6:03 pmThat was my thinking. So do I, the logistics suck for a lot of people.

I am hoping that since we are the #1 seed, we get a little respect and play the Saturday afternoon game on ABC

For selfish reasons I'm really hoping for the Friday night. Plus I love the night games. But I live in Bozeman so I totally get it.

Here is my prediction.
Friday - NDSU
Saturday early game - SDSU
Saturday middle game - Cats
Saturday late game - USD or UC Davis

I doubt they'll be slotted for the Friday Night time slot on the 13th, because it's graduation.

It was graduation when we played W&M. I think it actually helped attendance actually.HawkAndBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 10:50 amI doubt they'll be slotted for the Friday Night time slot on the 13th, because it's graduation.

Hate the Friday night game for logistics reasons, but will 100% make it work if I have to. Let's focus on this one first!

Well looking at the TV line up for the quarters, I would way rather have the Friday evening game then the 10am game on Saturday.
