Well, so far, there hasn't been the max exit that some on here thought would happen in grisville. Bobby from the outside looking in seems like an odd duck (to put it nicely). But, I had my reservations that the lockeroom was toxic and there would be a whole bunch of guys hit the portal. Of course its only Tuesday so more could leave.

Just watched some highlights. He's the real deal. He's probably looking for an NIL deal, but just to get out of the dumpster fire that is Northern Colorado would be better than nothing.

Seems like they’re targeting high level (for FCS) QB’s. I love it. Lamson is a tremendous fit.

A year ago I was saying he was going to step down. Upon learning more about the situation I don’t think he’ll leave for at least five years. It’s my understanding that the big money boosters will bail including the top two and they’ve combined to put more money into the program than the next 20 top boosters and most of them are Bobby people. UM has a super easy schedule next year and it will get them in the playoffs and probably a very high seed. The fans, like last year, will consider this improvement and continue to keep Hauck from getting on the hot seat.

It’s kind of funny how Bobby has lowered the expectations of most of their fanbase. Nobody in FCS has better facilities, yet they got absolutely smoked by both MSU and SDSU this season. Outside of Bergen getting them to OT and then playoff wins last year, Bobby hasn’t done a thing in his second stint that would give him that much job security unless the boosters don’t want championships.

It really is a beautiful thing. Hauck rode all the way to frisco on the back of a punt returner, which bought him several years of support. Then next years schedule is so comically easy Missoula Sentinel could go 9-3 and a playoff seed, which is going to buy him another hand full of years. As iaafan says, he has another 5 years before his seat even starts to get warm. You are right with how much expectations have lowered over there. They seem perfectly fine scheduling D2 schools and bottom feeder of the FCS so they can walk to an 8-3 record, win a cupcake playoff game in the first round before getting ran off the field in the second round #RTD

Then, Bergen comes back to UM after declining some offers from larger schools, and his reward is 2nd-3rd option at WR after White, who was a 6th year senior.

Most of those comments are about the University of Missoula, not Montana State.

Griz get former whitefish qb ridgeway in the portal. Assuming he’ll just be depth player at RB or be moved to the defensive side as a safety or linebacker.

Seemed pretty clear. Consensus is sign HS kids and develop but bring in transfer to fill specific holes. A couple might be against portable completely bit that wasn't the general theme. As others said, many were pointing out Griz seeming to greatly rely on portal and it hasn't worked.

I feel like VIgen and company have proven time and time again they are pretty damn smart when it comes to getting the roster where it needs to be. If they see a need where we need to go the portal route (QB for example), I trust they'll use it accordingly and bring the right players into the program. I know we have some absolute studs on this team that came from the portal, and I don't remember many misses.

Winter portal doesn't open until December 9th, and hopefully we wouldn't hear any potential news from Bobcat players until.aroind a month after that!

The winter portal closes on December 28. I’ve heard unconfirmed speculation that Scottre may enter. Would obviously be a huge loss to the offense if we were to make it into the title game if he jumps in the winter portal.

Three points here:

- It's been two days...

- Very many of Montana's returning players are not talented enough to transfer "up" or to anywhere "better" than Montana

- By the time next off-season is in the mid-point or whenever the timing might fall, the thing that will be the most detrimental will be the players who have a year of eligibility remaining that choose to not use it or choose to use it elsewhere, just not sure when that news will come out.
