You're not wrong. I love Jason Eck. He is a really really good coach and recruiter. He has been here already so he knows the culture and expectations.

You can't play not to lose against a better team. The gambles look bad because they didn't work, but it doesn't matter if you lose by two TDs or four TDs.

This is exactly the argument I make so often. The game that stuck out in my mind that was the inverse of this was Cats at EWU when Eastern didn't punt once in the game. It was clear that Jamie Marshall's defense could do nothing against Kupp, Bourne, and Webster. I don't remember who was QB at the time for them, but they had 3 WR who play in the NFL still and Ash had a 4th and short near mid-field down by 14 already near halftime and decided to punt, knowing EWU got the ball to start the 2nd half. It was the biggest white flag move I've witnessed in person.
