Not surprised at all, MSU signed a very large freshman class so there aren't really a lot of spots open right now for transfer players. My guess is that a lot of the incoming transfer activity will depend on who ends up leaving.

Agree. However there has been many players out there in the portal that would help us next year. Mainly curious as there should be some players wanting to play here and signing now.

There are thousands of unsigned players in the portal and there will be another portal window in the Spring when hundreds if not thousands more players will enter. MSU will be fine unless Vigen leaves and takes 20 or 30 players with him. NDSU hasn't announced any portal signings either, I can see why they wouldn't want to 10 days out from the National Championship game even if they had any players lined up.

Do we get a portal QB? LB wise we return Grebe, Daly, Krahe, who got good time. It feels that Dru, Caden, and Pottenger should be enough at safety I believe. These will definitely be weak spots but I’m not sure if we need much from the portal. I would mind a tall 50/50 getter WR. Maybe a corner as well even if Jon sticks around.

Helps eliminate distractions by not signing anyone. No kids thinking they are being replaced.
