Portal signings will happen but there won’t be many, that is if Vigen stays. Vigen has already said that he likes to build with high school recruits and use the portal to fill specific needs, not to rebuild the roster.

Not surprised at all, MSU signed a very large freshman class so there aren't really a lot of spots open right now for transfer players. My guess is that a lot of the incoming transfer activity will depend on who ends up leaving.

Agree. However there has been many players out there in the portal that would help us next year. Mainly curious as there should be some players wanting to play here and signing now.

There are thousands of unsigned players in the portal and there will be another portal window in the Spring when hundreds if not thousands more players will enter. MSU will be fine unless Vigen leaves and takes 20 or 30 players with him. NDSU hasn't announced any portal signings either, I can see why they wouldn't want to 10 days out from the National Championship game even if they had any players lined up.

Helps eliminate distractions by not signing anyone. No kids thinking they are being replaced.

Plus with the coaching uncertainty and rumors, signing with MSU and then possibly losing the coaching staff in a few weeks isn’t ideal.

I haven’t seen any statement by Vigen that he’s staying to coach MSU, which seems to leave things vague.

Typically, you see a lot of good players leave after a coach leaves.

For the Gris, it appears good players are leaving because the coach is staying.

Would love to see Jason back with the Bobcats. He had a good 10 yr coaching run at Ok S. We don’t have a fit atTE/HB for Luke right now. If he can play another’s position I would love to see him here. He is a quality young man.
