I'm now told that the person that had this info misheard. Wow! My bad all the way!!! I take full blame. I almost didn't say anything, should have stuck with my instinct on that one. I'm put myself in timeout for the rest of the day.
You at Hap's today Tom? hahah!

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

So now the unconfirmed belief is that Coach Vigen is NOT leaving, correct?

It seems more likely that he addressed the team regarding the rumors flying around to tell them he's locked in. It would be amazing to me if he told the team and coaches last night he was leaving and it didn't get to the media by now.

Heard from whom?
Was chatting with my buddy that is a Wazzu alum. He was telling me from what he heard was that Wazzu is waiting until after their Bowl Game tonight. But, he also said that this is coming from random people just like on here. So, that’s why I asked if anyone on here could confrim anything. I don’t see Vigen leaving before Frisco. Especially since 95% of Big Sky coaches that leave, come back within 5 years.

That's it Tom. When I see you in person I'm only buying your second beer. You can get the first round on your own!
Kingpin had “Munsoning” it, and now Bobcat Nation has “Stubering.”

We got Stubered! Jk, Tom.

I don’t blame Wazzu for trying to hire Vigen at all, and I don’t blame Vigen for moving on. But if WSU is, for example, trying to make him leave before the championship, then they really deserve the mess they are currently in. Let the guy finish up his current obligations. Don’t steal him early just because your coach left at the wrong time.

WSU is a dumpster fire right now. Vigen is a better coach than the one who just told them to pound sand and quit. I have a friend who was the assistant head coach there when they were in the real PAC 12. That was a good job. Now? Hell no. Coach Vigen can do a lot better.

WSU is a "desperate to move up" kind of job and Vigen doesn't seem the desperate type.

I don’t think it’s stealing if he agrees to leave.

Is Jake Dickey moving to a P4 program, and for a much higher salary, really telling Wazzu to “pound sand?”

If that’s the case, if/when Vigen leaves for a better conference and higher pay, is he telling MSU to “pound sand?”

I guess I should say… don’t pressure him to leave before the campionship. Telling him to take the job NOW or lose out…

I don't know about this.

WSU is basically now equivalent to how we would have traditionally thought about a Mountain West job.

I would never consider it desperation for an FCS head coach to take a head coaching job at a Mountain West school.

If Vigen has his sights set on competing as a coach at the Power 4 level, WSU is a sensible stepping stone.

I mean, from what I’ve seen with Wazzu, Dickert and other WSU coaches have been butting heads with the athletic department for some time. That in addition to leaving before the bowl game gives more of a “telling them to pound sand” vibe than leaving on more amicable terms

I was thinking more like this…..“My best friend's sister's boyfriend's brother's girlfriend heard from a guy who knows a kid who's going with the girl who saw him pass out at 31 Flavors last night. I think it's serious.” Only it’s not 31 Flavors and he didn’t pass out. Haha!!

A coach of Vigen’s caliber is going to bet on themselves succeeding I any scenario, but the fact is that a cash strapped WSU is a lot more like a bottom of the MWC team than the mid level Pac 12 team it was before. That fact means that the coach taking over is a lot more likely to end up like Hauck at UNLV over Klieman at KSU
