There's also a possibility that Vigen never actually wanted this job but used the process to leverage more money for him and his staff.
We'll know in a few weeks if that's the case. I tend to agree that he gets a big raise regardless though, probably in easy to attain bonuses.
What we'll know is what they want us to know. There's more strings being pulled than many know about.
His salary and bonuses are public.

Vigen’s sister-in-law does have a site where she sells all sorts of Bobcat stuff and she recently raised the prices on her Bobcat mittens and sold out rather quickly. Could be a sneaky way to launder some cash to Vigen. :D

Okay, I’m just kidding on the last statement. Please, don’t anyone take that seriously, but she did raise prices and sold out of the mittens. :-k
I believe she is Myles Sansted's mother.
Yes, and Vigen’s sister-in-law, Molly’s twin sister.
Myles has been nails for us this season. After last years kicking S--t show. That kid has become one of my favorite players. Didn't know he was BV's nephew. That just makes it better. Talk about double pressure.

Rough day for SDSU. End of their era I’d say
I agree. Think it was coming regardless. This is Jimmy Rogers taking the best shot he was ever going to get.
Why do you think that?

He was gifted a monster of a program, like Hauck back in the day. Unlike Hauck he at least won a championship with it. He hasn’t shown he can keep the wins coming.

I am just so happy right now. Props to Molly.

Seriously, the FCS is in transition next season and having stability immediately puts you into contention.
This. Winning the championship next year is going to be easier than winning this year. If we keep our coaching staff intact and get decent QB play, we will be right back in it.
It would not shock me if Monday we see some portal offers from legit players. FCS is wide open next season. Why not MSU? Why not now?

Stig built that thing for 20 years. Rogers won a title with essentially all Stig's team. The remnants of that team (Gronowski, bock, some of the linemen) carried this year's team. But they lost to NDSU twice and have been caught by SD. They have some decent facilities. Fans showed for the regular season but not the playoffs. Still a good job but I think they're at least 3rd wheel in the valley now for awhile, and it can be hard to climb back once you're there and fall off. Ask hauck.

After watching her interview I really thought they were staying, for awhile anyway. They've not been rolling stones. They've stayed in places a pretty long time. Not saying they won't ever move but I think it'll have to be the right thing FOR ALL OF THEM, not just him. With two boys on the team, and a younger son that may just be really happy in school in Bozeman, those things all make a difference. Obviously the NC is ahead of them and Vigen is just as committed to staying focused and hitting that 1-0 again, just like the team.

Now, let's all just take a collective sigh of relief, at least until January 7th.

Rogers recruited a lot of that team too.

I think SDSU will be right back into the top tier. They are so damn successful in almost all their other sports. They will make a good hire and get right back to top tier. I mean, who in the heck is waiting in the wings to be elite? Maybe USD. But we’ll see if that was a one hit wonder.

They definitely won't fall out of the top 10 unless they really wiff on the next hire.

Can they just make an announcement already and have it not be Vigen….
Every day they don’t make an announcement, makes me think it’s Vigen even though I wonder who would take on that dumpster fire program. The pay increase is nice but there are so many problems. I have to think there would be other better FBS opportunities.
This and the lack of any sort of recruiting news. I know they have a very important game to plan for and Cats typically only use the portal sparingly but nothing seems weird.
And just like that recruiting is back on track.
