I have no idea what this is about, but if the Gris are pissed and also @BelligerentBobcat is taking shots at this board’s posters over a strawman he posted, I’m guessing it’s no big deal.
I did see Tommy stay on the field longer than I would have and congratulate what seemed like the entire Bison team. That’s what I saw.

You aren’t the only one that saw Tommy doing that. My sister-in-law, who’s never seen a ’Cat game, sent me a note from Iowa after the game. She said she was impressed by the whole team after the game, but particularly the quarterback. Said she wasn’t used to that kind of sportsmanship — and after a national championship game, nonetheless. We are lucky fans. Thank you Tommy and all the guys for an unforgettable year, done the right way.

You posted and I replied about the post. Nice of you to remember my name. I wouldn’t give a crap about yours nor recall it had I saw it two years ago (at least?).BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 9:08 pmNice to see I’m always on your mind, Greg.PapaG wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 8:52 pmI have no idea what this is about, but if the Gris are pissed and also @BelligerentBobcat is taking shots at this board’s posters over a strawman he posted, I’m guessing it’s no big deal.

Exactly who’s always on whose mind here, what’s your face? I’m not sure whether to be flattered or worried.

I thought it was absolutely hilarious...you could see he had pretty well came to a stop...the wheels start spinning in his head...and then...why not take an extra step and a half...I also would have thought it to be hilarious if Miller did it on the Cats sideline.

Let's go into Missoula next year and give the gris lots of reasons to whine and complain.

In fairness, Robby Hauck also had a LONG history of cheap & borderline dirty hits in his storied career. He also was inexplicably credited with partial sacks for jumping on the pile well after the play was over...so his stats were pretty laughably overblown.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 8:44 pmI saw it and didn’t think it was a very big deal. Mellot just laid down the best ever single year by a Montana born college kid (and I include football greats like Dave Dickenson and Troy Anderson) or Adam Morrison or Todd Foster...and by all accounts he's been a model leader on every level. Who followed that up with the least angry or violent trash can tip in history.
Its a pretty weird comparison.

I actually don’t think he did it on purpose. I think he went to run into it and his footing wasn’t good and he just kind of went to flip it out of the way in the process of catching his balance. Maybe I’m wrong. Didn’t think it was a big deal.
As I rewatch it. I don’t really know.

Re: Trash Can Tip
That is blasphemy. Dave had 5600 passing yards in a single season, 51 passing touchdowns, won the Walter Payton Award, and won the national champion. That is the best season any Montana born player has had. Tommy had a great year, but he’s not Dave Dickinson. Vince Huntsberger had 145 tackles, 3 interceptions, and he received a Heisman vote in 2001. Vince was from Libby. I can see your argument for third-best season, he had a greatseason though.onceacat wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 12:02 amIn fairness, Robby Hauck also had a LONG history of cheap & borderline dirty hits in his storied career. Can you imagine if Tommy stopped, dug in the can and looked for human feces to throw on their players? (Reference to incident at WashedupGris stadium).MSU01 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 4:17 pmIf it got eGriz' panties in a twist, all I'll say is that I wish Tommy had gone further and hurled the garbage can into the stands.duelalumnicat wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 4:15 pmThe UM and NDSU fans think the trash can tip is a big deal.

Re: Trash Can Tip
How does Tommy’s actions compare to constant late hits, illegal chop blocks, punches on the ground, cheap shots and ankle twists in a pileup. I would say Tommy’s trash can tip is way less harmful that the regular actions of Gris players.HookedOnGriz wrote: ↑Wed Jan 08, 2025 8:44 pmI saw it and didn’t think it was a very big deal.
