Yes, a bummer, but the Cats are a run first offense. That could change with a new QB, but not likely. He just didn't have that breakout year after sitting last year. Felt bad for the struggles he one through with the NCAA stuff, but sometimes that's how things fall.

I don’t know if it was him just not being open, or him just not getting the ball thrown his way enough when he was open, or a combination of the two. But he just never broke out here or was a big threat at any point during the season that I can recall.

This one is a bit surprising and disappointing because other than "catching more passes" not really sure what the play is here. He was a solid piece for us, but not really a candidate to move up. Fourth school in four years will be a huge red flag for most teams. Maybe he wants to move even further down to a more pass-happy offense where he can really be "the guy."

I would guess he'll go to another FCS school, probably stay in the BSC. He could have a solid final year on any of the bottom half teams.

What are your thoughts on King? The biggest thing I saw from him this year was drops. He only caught 15 balls all year and it seemed like he had more drops than the rest of the team combined. He really needs to work with the QBs in the offseason if he's going to be a viable option in 25.

McCutcheon had a drop problem too before he figured it out. Ryan was the slot fade guy so that means he's catching those 50/50 balls more often than not in practice. Definitely agree there needs to be a great offseason with a new QB and our pass-catchers. Would be really great if they had an indoor football field to practice on in the winter...oh wait.

Agree, Alexander obviously thinks he’s doing what’s best for his future, however, just seems like a cheesy move. Lots of talk surrounding him, lots of support from the admin and coaching staff to get him eligible and then leaves. Who knows, maybe he has a great season elsewhere, but lots of red flags with these individuals that love team hoping, would consider them players, not teammates, and you need a team to win a championship.

There’s no guarantee that whoever replaces Jones, Humphrey and Moore won’t be better. Players leaving motivate players that stay. I bet guys like Jefferson, Coon and Murphy/Valcin aren’t upset in the slightest and are probably working harder and are more focused.

I will miss all these player but I honestly think we replace Jones and Humphrey with no drop off. Moore is going to be difficult to replace. I think we will find a capable replacement for Moore but no one of his caliber of player.

I feel Adam Jones is one of those dedicated future team leaders to build around.

I think much of the half-criticism he got about not being as tough a runner as Scottre and Julius was pretty undeserved. I rewatched many of the games and he is great after contact. I am sure those numbers are available somewhere.

He has the mental toughness and competitiveness needed to be a team leader.

Give him another off season in the strength/conditioning and nutrition program and watch the beast emerge.

Jones' numbers are a little skewed because of the timing of when Scottre went down. We started playing better teams one right after the other and they all started to stack the box and dare us to throw. One thing that stood out to me about Jones is that if we needed a yard, he got it. Even if the other team knew we were going to run it and stacked the box. I don't know what his percentage was but he just seemed to get it done every time. Better than many of the "power" backs we have had recently.
