I spend WAY too much time looking at at who Vigen follows. The most recent follow is a Juco DB and a recent Carroll graduate.

For the ol timers, new to the recruiting/following/trying to be in the know/creepers…
Is there a more tech way to see who Vigen recently follows? Besides writing down his 383 followers and crossing off and adding too it each day!?

Yes, the latest players or people he has followed are just below Josh Perkins.

It’s different for everybody. I wish they had a simple algorithm, but it appears they don’t. For me, I know the ones after Adam Jones or Luke Talich are the most recent follows. Or at least I think they are. It’s highly possible there are new follows I’m missing.

That’s interesting, because the new follows line up right in a row for me under Perkins.

Ok I nerded out for a while, and best I can tell is that if you go to “Followers”, the first 20 are old follows, and starting at 21 is the most recent.

Last evening's CBS news featured an interesting story regarding the impact NIL is having on college sports. I have no idea how it will eventually impact FCS schools. But the money that's out there for FBS football and of course college basketball pretty much guarantees that there will be fewer "cinderella stories" in college sports. One thing that this episode does NOT bring out, and this is just my opinion, is that some of the really big programs (I won't mention names) have ALWAYS thrown A LOT of money at players and just didn't get caught or had connections with the NCAA. THOSE schools are the ones MOST unhappy with NIL as it sort of "levels the playing field. Here's the link:

Alright, we have an overwhelming number of posts about the past, and a lot of "what happened?" and "whys?"

Here is one about the future and some recruits we have interest in. I have very little inside knowledge and this is all just me doing some crude internet sleuthing. Not sure how much interest is there when I say "interest" but these following kids seem to be on the coaches radar. Enjoy this little somewhat-positive distraction.

Played one year at Sacramento City College for one year before transferring to UTEP. Guessing he is taking advantage of the new JUCO ruling and will have one year left to play.

Totaled 5,800 all purpose yards as a RB and 348 tackles, 12 TFL, 12 PD, 8 Int, 4 fumble rec, 3 forced fumbles as a high school db. Did not play in 2023 due to injury.

Careful, you're supposed to be excited about everything. Whenever someone leaves that just proves even more how great the program is doing. We'll pick up whatever we need in four months. Everyone is dying to come to Bozeman, just not yet.

Think it's somewhere in between. You don't need to be jacked that we lost good players and some coaches. But anyone paying attention knew that was going to be the case before the season even started. And next season too. And the season after that.

If I remember correctly, I don't recall being super busy during this time period last season either.

Bottom line is that if you truly believe in Vigen and this staff, they really haven't given any of us reason to think they don't know what they're doing. We'll add players, adjust our staff, and look forward to another promising season next year.
