Haha no ******. Words mean absolutely nothing anymore, same for coaches. If the money is right, they will leave. Nothing like leaving Stanford for Bowling Green, i know bowling green is a world renown educational institution. I won’t believe anything until the first game of the year. They were just talking on gameday that the player from Wisconsin who was denied the chance to talk or transfer to UM, supposedly weird how he ended up there, said screw it and just left Wisconsin during the semester and will enroll in UM. Which is precisely why the transfer portal window doesn’t mean a goddamn thing, nor does the word of players or coaches mean anything, until the rubber hits the road. UM reps are now saying they weren’t tampering with this kid when the portal window was closed, yeah ok.
If your left, you aren’t right.

It means the subject is tired. Time to put it away. Move on.

Best not to over analyze the emoji usage of the youth. None of it makes sense.

That's what the interweb says it means. I wouldn't know off the top of my head. But it makes complete sense. If anyone is annoyed at fan angst, it's players. I'm sure they resort to dark comedy with it.
I remember players back in the day having a lot of fun about bally-hooed players that were transferring in or were supposed to be hot sh-t out of HS. They would here about them all summer, then when camp finally started those players turned out to be duds or nowhere near as good as they were hyped, and the players would have a lot of fun with as they probably figured it was the case...again. I doubt that's as common now.

BN doesn’t always convert the emoji’s the way they appear on other sites. The sleeping emoji is referring to “don’t sleep,” as you explained, and the brick is actually a stack of bricks on the X post, usually referred to as “brick by brick,” or “keep stacking” in reference to continuing to work, build, develop, etc.

He said that it means the Cats appear to be sleeping but they’re actually building something.

From Carr's perspective, the post is two-fold. We lost three corners (one to graduation and two entered the portal) from the 2024 squad and Carr did not really get into the starting rotation as the #4. We have about 7 redshirt freshman and true freshman in competition come next fall but the coaching staff is actively recruiting transfer corner depth right now. If you're in Carr's position, he's likely saying don't forget about me, I'll keep working.
My fan take is Carr will need to really bring it this spring to hold off a talented group of redshirt freshman that are all gifted athletes. QB will be important to watch this spring obviously but corner is the other big battle.

Yes. When taken with the rest of the caption, I read the emojis as "don't sleep on the foundation".

With the Cats almost certainly (nothing official yet) brining in Pete Sterbick from Colorado School of Mines to be the new OC, I wouldn't be surprised to see us get some transfer from there. I've seen at least one, Evan Bish, has started following Vigen and Daly.
Personally, I don't mind getting some D2 transfers, especially from a school like Colorado Mines. They are a solid, high-level D2 school.
P.S. Gotta get some positivity on this thread!

Oh man!! I had to look him up and I totally spaced out that they are the school that do the ridiculously awesome team roster photos.

On the Mines website, they already have one of their assistants listed as Interim head coach and Sterbick isn't on their anymore.
