Does Walker only get 44 seconds every 17 minutes?
We appear to play tougher when he's in. Why is he
sitting in this 4 minute time period?

Cats get themselves back within striking distance and they give the ball away. It’s happened 3 or 4 times this game. They need to be better with the ball if they want to win a game like this.

Good effort getting themselves back in the game, just can’t quite get over the hump.

Re: Cat-Grizz 1.0 2025
The Big Sky is absolutely wide open this year, I haven't been overly impressed by any team so far other than a few flashes from Northern Colorado. Definitely a down year overall and MSU's erratic play is part of that. But the Cats just need to get themselves into the Top 6 to not have to play in the first round and I think they'll have as good a shot as anyone playing at a neutral site.

His defense is what keeps him on the bench late in close games! If he played defense like Lecholat or even Chika he’d play more.

Cats lose the turnover battle 13-5. Give up 17 points off turnovers and there’s your game. Simply put, you’re not going to win many games when you have so many untimely turnovers and let the other team convert like they did. Griz had 13 more shot attempts and it was still only a 7 point game!
Incredible job to rally and fight until the very end.

And free throw shooting. And I do think they are managing his minutes.HighPlainsBobcat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 9:57 pmHis defense is what keeps him on the bench late in close games! If he played defense like Lecholat or even Chika he’d play more.
But, he a player that can assert himself to get a good shot.
I wish Eddie Turner had stayed.
He could have been this year's Robert Ford.

This game was more than winnable today. Even w/ a less than 100% Patterson and no Gorake.

It would've been easy for this Bobcat team to just give up when they were down by double digits but they did fight back and that's a good sign at least. I guess we'll have to keep trusting the process and look for them to make a run in the second half of the season.
Had to kind of laugh when the announcers said this year's team was really missing Darious Brown. Hello, it's Robert Ford III that willed this team to greatness last year.

My favorite announcer goof was when BJ Kolly scored a basket and he credited it to Jed Miller. Easy mistake to make I guess given the resemblance between the two.Joe Bobcat wrote: ↑Sat Jan 25, 2025 10:30 pmIt would've been easy for this Bobcat team to just give up when they were down by double digits but they did fight back and that's a good sign at least. He talks a big game but didn't deliver. If the Cats are so average, then why didn't he score more points? What did he have? Six? Eight? MID!!!

Logie is 1-3 now. I really hope he can get this turned around.

This is about par for the course for life on the road. I think it will be different when we get them at home.

Re: Cat-Grizz 1.0 2025
Found a great coping mechanism for Cat-griz MBB in Missoula-went to the MSU hockey game instead. Bobcats 13, EWU Eagles 0. As for our basketball team. Too many wasted possessions with silly turnovers and too many blown layups. A handful of possessions are deciding these games. It'll be good to get some home games, seems like we've been on the road all season.

Re: Cat-Grizz 1.0 2025
This is the first time I’ve heard this take. Walker is a good one-on-one scorer, but in my opinion doesn’t bring a net positive to the team effort when he’s on the floor. I was there in person tonight and it really stands out live just how little he moves and how much he stands or walks. I’m thinking his lack of minutes in the second half might have been a message being sent to him by Logie. I hope that is the case, as I think there is a TON of talent in the kid, he just needs to work a lot harder on the rest of the game that doesn’t have the ball in his hands.
