Way to close it out. I thought they were going to find a way to lose another one.

Nice win. Love love LOVE to see Patrick McMahon playing this well after all the terrible injury luck he has had.

ESPN+ is not working at all for me tonight. It's been frozen most of the time, for both the men's and women's games. Anyone else having problems with it tonight?

Cats salt this one away and pull out a 12 point win!
Patrick continues to be a menace in the 2nd half of games and I love to see it! He was driving to the bucket with baddddd intentions as he tried to dunk on every Sac player. Cats length really stood out this game as they forced 15 turnovers in this game.
Saturday is going to be a huge game to get back to .500 in conference play.

That sucks for sure, sorry to hear that John K. Mine was working about as good as ever and had both games going at the same time on separate screens. I have been there done that though.

Great win. Huge night for McMahon who is really bringing his game up a level. Best part-he made his free throws later in the game-a couple of huge one-and-one's that were really needed when Sac was trying to close the gap.
Sac has an interesting team. Despite being in California-a state with a huge population and lots of basketball players, most of their team comes from overseas. A lot of Australians.

Sac State head coach is Australian, and was the main recruiter for the team before becoming the Head Coach this year

Ngl I think we are worse when Walker is on the floor. We looked like a completely different team tonight when he was sitting

When McMahon is putting the ball in the hole like in the second half, we need Walker out there a lot less. That's starting to happen. Earlier in the season when Walker sat we didn't score.

I've seen this team win the glass, and when they do, they're formidable. Why are they so good at rebounding sometimes and terrible at others?

A lot of times it is matchups. Might be height, athleticism or scheme of opponents. But rebounding is also a lot about effort.

And sometimes simple randomness and luck plays a role. You can have great positioning for a rebound but sometimes the ball will just take an unusual bounce off the rim and go straight to the guy on the other team. Some games the luck aspect of rebounding will go in your favor, sometimes it will go towards the other team.

Cats lead by 5 at half. Shooting the ball well from 3 and managing the game so far. IMO, the Cats relied on the 3 ball too much the last 10 minutes. I loved the way they shot with confidence and looked to fire when open though. However, 18 3’s in one half is simply too many. If the Cats don’t go
7-18 from 3 they could be down a lot in this game. Need to continue to pound the glass and get rebounds. No one looked like they wanted to grabbed a board the last 10 minutes.
On another note, Sac is like that chippy little brother who starts acting up and just needs to be body slammed onto the floor and put in their place so they realize their place in the BigSky. Cats need to come out strong the first 5 minutes and put this game away
I would take 40% though any day.

Are we handcuffed by Walker?
Walker is a good player, but I have seen him at times, especially when he does not have the ball, just stand with little movement.
and other times when he has the ball tries to be a one man show and forces a bad shot.

ESPN plus is such a pain. I have found if you unplug everything and plug it back in it seems to reset. I went to the game last night then came home to watch the women after much trouble getting the replay on plus. The announcers were good

It is very exciting to see Patrick McMahon playing so well. I am just happy to see him be able to play again and I believe he is just starting to demonstrate his potential. Good for him!

I wonder why McMahon switched from #1 to #14?
He got his old jersey ripped up pretty good in the EWU game last week. I'm thinking he should keep #14

Correct. If you don’t factor in randomness in rebounding you’re going to get very frustrated. Rebounding isn’t simply about boxing out. No matter what whenever there’s an offensive rebound in a basketball game there’s always fans screaming “BOX OUT” at the top of their lungs as if that’s why every offensive rebound has ever occurred.

Anyone know why Zephir didn't play the second half after starting the game?
