Here is a crazy Stat that will PROBABLY be brought up in tonight's Mens Broadcast... Since Big Sky Play started, The Big Sky is exactly 58-58 in both Men's and Womens Basketball... Same amount of losses as wins. Can't imagine there are any other conferences that are a perfect 50/50 split in Conference games...

Mind. Blown.

Good thing he isn't the announcer for Griz games, I don't think they'd be able to understand the complex mathematical concepts used in these calculations.

We were at SUU in Cedar City in 2020 for the next to last game of the season, with only NAU remaining on Saturday. I believe that was the last tournament that started on Monday. The ‘Cats were deciding whether to go home from NAU or just go directly to Boise. The team voted to go directly to Boise. It was fortunate that with their 19-1 record that they didn’t have to play the first day. Coach Bin told us that was a major reason that the conference tournament schedule was being rearranged. The women’s teams played Monday and Tuesday and that was a nasty turnaround from a Saturday game in Flagstaff. Now they have time to go home before going on to Boise.

Wow thanks for all the time you must've put into researching that!
By any chance do you know when was the last time that happened in the Big Sky?

The gris are complaining. Think they’ve been shortchanged a couple wins, should be 59-57 in both.

Speaking of the Big Sky Tournament. I found this gem from Joe Craven’s back in the day. The famous “block/charge” ejection.

Does anyone know where the teams are staying in Boise. Do most the fans stay there as well?

Hotel info for each team is listed here. I'm sure fans could choose to stay at the same hotel if they still have rooms available and wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the player families stay at the same hotel as the team.

That's the running joke right now... Every conference since the beginning of Basketball invention has been .500.... But an announcer on an SEC game said it like it was some huge amazing stat, so every other announcer in Basketball has been saying it on air now as a joke.
