I had more foot and ankle injuries playing basketball than I had any injury in football. I spent three days in a hospital after blowing out my ankle going up for a rebound and coming down awkwardly on another guys foot.

Ha! I used to wear them in practice just for conditioning.....maybe Taylee is wearing them to slow her down to play more in control! No I am not being serious.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 12:45 pmMy wife asked about what those things around Taylee's ankles are. Grace Lawrence's interview with KJ right at the end of the broadcast. All the feels!
Etched in my mind is seeing dad sitting beside KJ on the floor last year after her injury.
Gonna miss those long arms, good defense and key shot when we needed it.

Don't you like the way she looks back over her shoulder at MC kinda like..."where'd you go"... or maybe with a look of disdain at her defense...you know who was in charge. Fun!

Wasn't at the game, but with that look, combined with the post game comment, guessing there was a little on the court chatter happening. Morales likely shut that down on that shot lolBobcatDel wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 4:10 pmDon't you like the way she looks back over her shoulder at MC kinda like..."where'd you go"... or maybe with a look of disdain at her defense...you know who was in charge. Same here. Never got hurt in football besides the usual cuts and bruises of a lineman/defensive end, but turned ankles ALL the time in basketball even while taped.AFCAT wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 1:24 pmProbably.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 12:45 pmMy wife asked about what those things around Taylee's ankles are. Re: Cat - Griz WBB
They are ankle braces, I think the kind that go under the foot and run up both sides to prevent rolling them so easily. I have a number of hyper-mobile joints, mostly fingers and thumbs and toes, but ankles, too. I have no idea how many miles of tape my ankles used to allow me to play basketball. That was a million years ago, but my ankles kept me from having to climb the ladder to get the ball out of the peach basket. Something like Taylee’s would have been the cat’s meow for me to play ball, ice skate, etc. It’s good to see her using them.BelgradeBobcat wrote: ↑Sun Feb 23, 2025 12:45 pmMy wife asked about what those things around Taylee's ankles are. Any reports on injuries? The Dylan Philip situation looked really bad. Not sure on Dykatra either.

Nothing that I've seen. Hopefully Coach Binford will have at least something of an update at Cat Chat this evening. I agree that Dylan looked to have the more serious injury, Marah came back into the game briefly and then it was pretty easy to keep her out in the second half with the big lead MSU had by that point. Marah had her ankle iced during the second half which makes me more optimistic that her injury may not be season-ending than if it was a knee like Dylan's injury was.

Colter on his espn Missoula show yesterday said he was thinking tear based on how they were testing her knee. I'm hoping it's a sprain and she's not out the rest of the year.MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 10:58 amNothing that I've seen. No new news on either Philip or Dykstra. Binford said on Cat Chat that they're being evaluated and we'll know more tomorrow. That sure doesn't sound good to me.lutecat wrote: ↑Tue Feb 25, 2025 5:59 pmColter on his espn Missoula show yesterday said he was thinking tear based on how they were testing her knee.
