All griz starters played 30 plus minutes today. Emotional roller coaster of a win for them. How long can they keep it going tomorrow before fatigue sets in against a rested Bobcat team?

Love it, I think MSU will have a big advantage with the extra day of rest and being able to rest their key players through the two blowout wins so far. And in the event that the Griz win I'll be less upset than usual due to the respect I have for Nate Harris as their interim coach.

With the win today has Nate played himself into a chance to be the coach going forward?

You'd have to think he'll at least get a shot to interview. They've got a good staff in place, one of their assistants won a NAIA National Championship a few years ago as the head coach at UM-Western.

Hope so lol. Nice guy, but out of his station. Great news for the Bobcats if he gets a deal.

That NAU griz semi-final was quite entertaining. NAU seemed to be in complete control and I'm not sure how the heck they lost. Glancy was dominating, but had quite a few point blank looks just rim out. Nyah Moran was playing lights out-hitting everything, but she got dinged up a bit and I think that slowed her down. Koenig from Montana had an incredible second half. NAU's weakness I think is defending really good point guards. Esme Morlas lit them up twice this season. Even Sac State's point had a big game against them in this tournament.

Will Koenig have enough gas in the tank to deal with Morales, Picton, and Chirrick tomorrow? We beat them by 2 and almost 40. I'm guessing it'll be somewhere in between.

Lady Cats are so deep. Girls getting healthy at the right time too. They'll be a handful for the lady griz today.

Having both Montana teams playing for the championship in any sport in the BSC is what every Cat and Griz fan should want IMHO. Well we have that in women's basketball today at 3:00 so let's toss that ball up and get it on.
On the surface it's a no brainer that the Cat's should win but madness is in the air and in the minds of Gris players. The Griz almost had to play mad out of their minds to beat NAU and they're most likely mad about their 98-66 loss to the Cats last time they met. For those reasons and because they're playing with house money they're dangerous.

Having said that, those things can only carry a team so far and the Cat's are simply too far ahead of them in so many metrics. One thing that almost certainly has to catch up with the Griz is the minutes played by them in the last 2 days compared to the minutes played in the last 3 days by the Cats.

List of minutes played by Griz players in last 2 days: 5most 75 70 66 66 57 bench 22 21 14 6 3
list of minutes played by Cat players in last 3 days: 5most 49 45 43 43 42 bench 40 32 32 27 21 13 13
(Just to be clear, the bench player for the Cats with 40 minutes was Ella Johnson who has actually started both tourney games and the bench player with 21 minutes is Marah Dykstra who has also started both games)
That's a stark difference for the 5most and remember the Cat's minutes are spread over 3 days not just 2.
Notice those minutes provided by the bench, that speaks to the metric of depth the Cats have over the Griz.

Looking at just yesterday's games:
the 5 Griz that played the most minutes averaged 34:24 (38 35 34 33 32)
the 5 Cats that played the most minutes averaged 22:12 (24 24 23 20 20)
Again a stark difference plus the Griz played a game the day before while the Cat's rested that day.

The Cat's might also have an ace up their sleave in a rested and healthy Marah Dykstra who has only played 21 minutes in the tournament with 15 of those yesterday where she was 4-6 from the field with 2-2 from 3pt.
The Cat's might also have another ace up their other sleave in a resurgent Izzy Bunyan who on Sunday had the team's 2nd most steals (4) and 2nd most assists (5), next she led the team in scoring yesterday with 15 points.

Here's hoping the Cat's go out and play their game and get the win, putting a capstone on this tournament and setting themselves up for a good seed in the NCAA.

If you're looking for someone with a little authority, I'm your man. I have as little as anyone!

No, only the two regular season games count.

Griz already showing their class. MSU band started playing their first song and about 30 seconds later UM played so everyone was drowned out. In every other game the two bands alternated.

Let them have it. It's their last game they get to perform. 8)

What will it take to get rid of Redpath?

Can't make up my mind as to which is better - 55-21 or 48-14, but 34-11 will do.
