With all the discussion on the bball board this is my state of mind. One of the reasons I love college sports so much is getting super excited about high-school recruits and following them through the program and seeing if they live up to their perceived potential. Kinda takes the shine off when the best case scenario is we get one or two really good years and they leave...MSU01 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:25 amTis better to have recruited and lost than never to have recruited at all...BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 8:56 amWe can worry about that when/if it comes. I would argue the worst case scenario is we get one or two really good years and they leave.technoCat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:47 amWith all the discussion on the bball board this is my state of mind. The worst case is they don't play at all and leave after a year.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:51 amI would argue the worst case scenario is we get one or two really good years and they leave.technoCat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:47 amWith all the discussion on the bball board this is my state of mind. Actually worst case is we get all hyped up about them and they never even make it to campus. Seems we've seen that a few times recently...technoCat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:58 amThe worst case is they don't play at all and leave after a year.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:51 amI would argue the worst case scenario is we get one or two really good years and they leave.technoCat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:47 amWith all the discussion on the bball board this is my state of mind. Big news for sure, love to see it.
Makes for a very interesting QB room/battle these next couple of years.

If he doesn’t play here and transfers, where’s he gonna go? It would mean he’s likely not good enough to play here, so honestly, not a big deal.

I just did the same thing - I though it was me !!HelenaCat95 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 9:29 pmWhoa!!!! That's huge. Watched him only once this year, but came away thinking he's the real deal and lived up to the hype.
I renewed my season tickets this morning, so obviously that was what made him change to MSU.![]()

That's a really interesting article. What really stands out to me is that Jackson was recruited by big name colleges AS AN 8TH GRADER! That's really impressive.RUACAT wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 9:59 amHe's done a little acting himselfColter_Nuanez wrote: ↑Sun Mar 30, 2025 9:16 pmHe moved to Montana with offers from Florida State and Oregon as a freshman. Wonder what made them relocate to Kalispell? This could have multiple benefits for MSU moving forward. Will he major in film studies following in his dad's footsteps?

Everyone hates the wealthy out-of-staters relocating to Montana until they happen to have a big-time QB recruit in the family who's willing to stay in the state to play college football! Anyone know of any actors with kids who are really good linebackers, we could use a few of them too...nanacat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 10:43 amThat's a really interesting article. In many many ways, the transplants giveth and the transplants taketh away. Look at the bright side on this one, NO transplants ever want to move to North Dakota.MSU01 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 10:50 amEveryone hates the wealthy out-of-staters relocating to Montana until they happen to have a big-time QB recruit in the family who's willing to stay in the state to play college football! I know a director that was a good linebacker/defensive end at MSU. He posts here once in a while.MSU01 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 10:50 amEveryone hates the wealthy out-of-staters relocating to Montana until they happen to have a big-time QB recruit in the family who's willing to stay in the state to play college football! No really much "more info" in the article, so don't worry if you can't access it.

I believe one parent lives in Montana and the other was in Oklahoma. Probably a reason that he came, could be football opportunities, or could’ve just been personal.nanacat wrote: ↑Mon Mar 31, 2025 10:43 amThat's a really interesting article.
