By nice I mean beautiful, tight spiral with zip on it. Every. Single. Time.
Is anyone playing football at MSU not athletic? In my opinion 99.99% of the players that have passed through MSU have been athletic.
If you tell me a quarterback at any college anywhere in the country averaged 22-12-6 in hoops, I would assume that guy is a helluva athletic dude. It’s kinda like “you don’t have to be a rocket surgeon to figure that out” line.

I'm talking about in warmups. Over and over and over and over....Reed would throw the same tight, spiral every single time. It was bizarre. I don't know. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but I don't think so. I made a point of walking a lap around the field to see if anyone was getting close to being able to play again, and when I did, I would watch him if he was out there. I've watched way too much football. LOL!!! Anyway, just my 2 cents.kwcat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 6:44 pmBit of a tangent, but I thought Duschein(sp?) threw a hell of a ball several times last year.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 3:49 pmI know a lot of athletic people that are nowhere near as athletic as Jordan Reed. Oh, I wasn't saying D1, I was saying college anywhere. D3, D2, Naia, JC. A good chunk of HS kids that don't play in college are good athletes. People think I'm a good athlete and I'm not even kidding although I do think that's hilarious, but I like it.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 4:31 pmI wasn’t aware that I would need to clarify that anybody who plays D1 sports is athletic relative to the norm. I assumed everybody would get that it’s athleticism relative to the position, not to old, fat, slobs like me, but you know what they say about making assumptions.TomCat88 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 3:49 pmI know a lot of athletic people that are nowhere near as athletic as Jordan Reed. Glad to see everything has lightened up on Reed thing. He's going to end up having a cult following after all this. Lol. Another thing I found out about him is he scored 41 points in a CIF tournament game. His senior year was shortened due to Covid. He was also a good pitcher. El Centro, CA is located about 10 miles north of the Mexico border and is about 100 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. About as opposite from Montana as you can get in the contiguous USA. Average summer temp is 110. Winter is 70.

I'll chip in $10 towards his NIL deal, who has the remaining $3,999,990 we'll need to get him to Bozeman?

He was making $2.4 million and the reports said he wanted to renegotiate up to $4 million. But you're right, the price might be higher to spend a winter in Montana.Montanabob wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 9:21 pmthat was what he walked away from. need more than 4m

Of note, Vigen said Lamson will be competing with Chance and Pat. Unless Warren has a tremendous summer/fall, I wouldn’t expect him to be a real part of the QB competition.

I second this. I doubt Warren is in the mix for this fall. If he was, they would not have brought in Lamson imo.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 11:41 pmJust going on what Vigen said.catatac wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 10:31 pmInteresting! Re: Justin Lamson Transfers in
I was told that Warren looked really good all spring, but he didn't play nearly as well as Duchien and Wilson in the final scrimmage. I don't know if that has him on the back burner, but as BB points out that's the way it sounds (for now). He's a good-looking player and may just be waiting for that moment where it all comes to him. Or he may have had some jitters and maybe Vigen is just trying to keep any pressure off him as he settles in. Hard to say.GoldstoneCat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 7:56 amI second this. Lamson has a lot of experience (a ton compared to everyone else in the room), so I'd be surprised if he doesn't make some noise rolling into the first game. This is a good competition. Not as high end as the OL competition but I think Lamson, who's game may fit MSU's scheme really well, will have his hands full to beat out Wilson or Duchien. They not only have more time with the system but also both looked good, not off the charts good, in the scrimmage. No one has totally stepped up yet, so Lamson can definitely get there. The room being deep is the best news about the QB situation so far.

I'm an idiot... or might have had a buzz when I read and responded to that. Somehow I was thinking you meant the QB position was only between Chance and Pat and neither of the other two were in the running. I get it now.BelligerentBobcat wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 11:41 pmJust going on what Vigen said.catatac wrote: ↑Fri Jun 06, 2025 10:31 pmInteresting! My personal feelings are that I’d be surprised if Lamson isn’t the starter, but I have nothing other than my opinion to base that on.catatac wrote: ↑Sat Jun 07, 2025 3:12 pmI'm an idiot... or might have had a buzz when I read and responded to that.
