I’m pretty sure the majority of the weights are updated on the roster. Still a few I don’t think are done, but most are.

Zimmer listed at 6’6 285. Huge growth.

Really impressed with the growth. Top 5 LBs are all around or over 230. DTs are all between 280-300. Top 5 DEs all over 240. TEs are all in that 230-250 range. OL looks incredible and our true freshman size is 260 at its lightest. Some names who did work this off-season from a growth standpoint:

- JJ Dolan hitting 190
- Chance Wilson over 200
- Cole Taylor and Bryce Grebe both over 230
- Paul Brott hitting 300
- Zac Crews hitting 240 and Kenny Widen hitting 250
- Braden Zimmer hitting 285

Those were the notables for me.

Sean Herrin is the best.

The stuff he and his crew do for flexibility, twitch and speed is equally important and impressive.

I wonder what Ahrens, Grebe and Daily run the 40 in? All three ran the 100 in the low 11s. That was a long time ago for Daily and Grebe, so I assume they've gotten faster. Fastest LB duo since Andersen/O'Reilly in 2019 and 2021. Andersen ran 4.42 at combine, O'Reilly ran 4.7 at his pro day. I would say Grebe and Daily are both faster than 4.7. Probably both in the 4.5s.

Seth Johnson would be the surprise for me. I hadn't heard his name mentioned that often and I thought Takhari had that spot nailed down this season. Nice to see JJ Dolan making a push this year.

Wow, that seems like a solid two deep. With all the talk being about how good the Oline, Dline and RB's are I think the LB's and WR's are going to be amazing.

Summary: Other than obvious move at QB looks like Trimble moved from Z WR to X WR, Steel moved from H WR to Z WR, Jabez Woods moved from Z WR to H WR and JJ Dolan flipped with Bryant Meredith from backup up Nickel and backing up Free Safety. Jabez Woods is starting kick returner and Duchien no longer holding on placekicks.

Haha they basically had the defense figured out from day one.

Jhase McMillan is up 13 lbs to 170, which isn’t bad on a 5’9 frame.

Seth Johnson up 19 lbs to 180. Good to see the young guys growing, getting bigger. They definitely needed to if they want to tackle anybody.

1. I appreciate the pronunciation help for Taco and Caden. I don't remember if they used that example last year or not.
2. With Duchien named QB2 does that mean he's not holding on kicks any more? I know Colby was doing it in practice but I wasn't sure if that was the plan going forward or if he was just filling in for Duchien during the QB battle. Would be nice to have a QB holding in the event we want to run any trick plays.
3. I wonder how close the race for QB2 was and if Duchien won because he's better in general or if he's just closer to Lamson and it wouldn't be as big of an adjustment to the offense if he had to step in and take over. I also wonder if there is a package for Chance to show off his legs or if he's buried on the depth chart now.

Duchien had a great Fall camp. I am not surprised by this. Chance though, is not far behind. It was a close competition but Patrick had the edge.
