Re: Golden Coolie Questions
Why can't we call a 3rd down pass play beyond the sticks?
What is it with this program and not having any semblance of a threatening passing attack?

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the griz blew a 22-0 lead.

We have this stable of runnings backs and seemingly don’t seem to even want to use our true, tested top two?

Re: Golden Coolie Questions
Where was Chris Long? He's our only deep threat. I didn't hear any word that he was hurt. His absence completely limited our passing game to under 10 yards. It was totally fenced in by their secondary...they are very good! ...and tall! Their linebackers were FAST! Their whole defense tackled better than I have seen against us ever! Our ball carriers and receivers just couldn't get an extra yard after they were hit.

Re: Golden Coolie Questions
Great game! If we improve throughout the year we could be a contender!
Think we win that game had we not played powerhouse Oregon the week prior. What say you?
Lamson is our guy, but if QB draw is going to be a big part of the game plan, incorporating Chance Wilson’s speed could help take pressure off Lamson and reduce the hits he takes.
Another point worth considering is that wide receiver development has been an overall weakness of the Vigen era. How can we turn the corner with a qb that is not as mobile as what we’ve become accustomed to.

Gold Rush- 10
Only way Home/Gold Rush gets to 14-17, is when we FINALLY fill in our stadiums gaps on the north side. Bowl it out so we can Ball out!

Right! We paid $100 for SRO. Wish they could at least set up SRO like they did in frisco ( steps and a place to lean). Definitely want to see this complete.liqud360 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 3:19 pmHome- 6Common Cat wrote: ↑Sun Sep 07, 2025 10:17 amQuestion for all of you. Send some questions for tonight. Unacceptable loss in my opinion. How do you feel?

The only question: how do the Cats go from "could beat the DSUs" to "does beat the DSUs"?

Pete sterbeck offense….
Like it?
Hate it?
Jury is still out…?
It’s waaaaaay too early to come to any conclusions. But so far it’s been about as much fun as watching paint dry (in my opinion). I thought the play calling at SDSU was pretty awful.

Re: Golden Coolie Questions
Sure its unacceptable, any loss is unacceptable really, but to have such an abusive schedule (blame admin) is even worse! I think that MSU creates the schedules way in advanced, but dang! We always encouraged our kids in high School to take the advanced classes, take the hard classes and come out with more knowledge in the end. Yet, other athlete buds took the easier classes, got the better grades and set themselves up for more scholarships senior year. So what do you want, more wins ( HS scholarships) or take on the tougher teams (harder classes) and come out possibly more knowledgeable in the end? I guess I am just jealous of the gris schedule at this moment and how that may help them get farther and better positioning through the season...
Perhaps the collage football landscape is past committing to a players long term growth, and we just start to NIL cherry pick from the portal each year for championships?

Re: Golden Coolie Questions
This game was a heartbreaker and I feel like we had plenty of opportunities to get the win, but came up short again. I thought the defense played a great game but was underwhelmed by some of the offensive play calling. If there was any game to open up the playbook this season, I would have to think this would be it. We have a relatively easy schedule moving forward but is what we saw against the Jacks what we’ve got.

Re: Golden Coolie Questions
I don't believe it's anything close to the potential for this team. The unfortunate thing is, just as the Cats will improve and grow throughout the season, so will SDSU. The best chance at beating them this season may well have passed on Saturday. It's a long season though and anything can happen.Gay Firepit wrote: ↑Mon Sep 08, 2025 2:05 pmThis game was a heartbreaker and I feel like we had plenty of opportunities to get the win, but came up short again. Eric Curry STILL makes me sad.
