The fact that duschien (sp?) is in the running is incredible. Can you imagine going three years with Mellott then follow it up with another three years with another MT guy!

Seemed like he was running for his life in that game and I assume a number other games. I would not be surprised if the game actually will feel ‘slowed down’ for him, with having some actual protection on the O-Line. Maybe not game one, although that was a pretty stacked year for Oregon.

Agreed
He does move reasonably well in that post video. Combination of a slow seemingly poorly, schemed defense, and an offense in which he did not fit did not help in that game either

It’s actually an encouraging vid. He’s a strong dude. Would be interesting to see how that would look against a mid level team. But he’s capable of breaking tackles and getting an extra yard.

Lamson is gonna kill it here. Best combination of passing and running game amongst the three.

If he earns the starting job, it will be because he earned it! I love that all the other QBs have taken a step forward and look good. I am pretty optimistic about the QB position.

Pretty fine QB stable.

1 thru 5 is about as good as I remember MSU having in terms of potential. Lamson's the only one with any considerable playing time in college.

Lamson is the best and most important portal transfer ever for the Cats! IMO

He's still in second place behind McKay unless we win the title before he leaves. McKay flamed out so hard we switched to a freshman that wasn't even playing QB and the next 3+ years were the best stretch in program history.

That would make for a beneficial transfer but not a good one.

Yeah, McKay obviously wasn't the best transfer but I still say he was the most important transfer. I'm only about 20% joking.

If McKay doesn't implode does Tommy ever become a QB? I don't remember the exact circumstances but if the team was considering him a QB at all over the last two weeks of the regular season he would have been QB4 at best, right? McKay-Rovig-Bauman-Tommy? If McKay is even just average he finishes out the season and goes into the next season as the presumed starter but with a competition with Bauman for QB1 and since we have a clear QB1/QB2, we likely don't bring Chambers in either. Tommy develops into more of Taco role with more work out of the backfield probably successfully makes an NFL roster as a WR. So really McKay coming to Bozeman did more harm than good to Tommy's NFL career! :D

Lamson is a beast. Great leader from the looks of things. Takes no prisoners.

McKay flamed out and was not good over the last few games of the season after that hit he took against Weber. But let’s not forget how big of a role he played in the early season that put us in the position to make our championship run. I would agree that there’s no Tommy without McKay.

Lamson reminds me of how I think McGhee would do in this offense.
