I have to wonder how long Eck will be at UNM for. Hell of a coach to do what he's done at both Idaho and now New Mexico.

Wisconsin is going to say adios to Fickell at the end of the season. I would bet the Eck (an Alum) is supremely high on the list of replacements.

I have seen some talk about how Fickell has ignored historical strengths of the Wisconsin program, like lineman from their own state. I wouldn’t be surprised to see them go with a Wisconsin alum like Eck. Eck also has that blue collar mentality that the fanbase loves.

Yeah and there is a bunch of people not happy about it. I think what the AD is really saying is we don't have a booster that's willing to foot the $25 million buyout so we are stuck with him for another year.

His influence is even more apparent watching Idaho fall apart in less than a year.

I was wondering the same thing. Not sure if he got hurt or has just fallen out of the bottom of the depth chart. His games since he scored against Nevada back in mid-October are:

Utah St.: 5 carries for 7 yards
UNLV: 1-1
CSU: 2-2
AF: 0-0
San Diego St.: 0-0
