We really need a big turnout for this game. We will have a very hard time matching up with this squad but our ladies

Re: WBB against UNLV tonight
Would love to attend this one in person, but as it's on a Tuesday I'll have to settle for watching on ESPN+. UNLV is one of the better mid-major programs out there and has made the last three NCAA Tournaments, they also feature Aaliyah Alexander who played for EWU and was first-team All-Big Sky before transferring to UNLV. This will be UNLV's first road game of the season, they're 2-1 so far with home wins over Washington State and Depaul and a loss to Baylor.

Lost in the 2nd round of the WNIT last year to Florida, after losing to San Diego State in the Mountain West Tourney.MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 11:15 amWould love to attend this one in person, but as it's on a Tuesday I'll have to settle for watching on ESPN+. UNLV is on interesting team... They shoot only 37% from the Floor (MSU Shoots 50%) and have 26 Steals this year (MSU has 56).. WITH THAT SAID, UNLV has had what looks like a much tougher schedule so far, but all games at home. It will all come down to how the Cats bench plays, as UNLV has just 8 players that have played in all 3 games. If the Cats can play at the pace they want to play at, and get meaningful play form a very deep bench, they can win.

This will be fun. It's not often we get a mt west team to come here. We need to show out and be loud. Unlv is picked first in their conference and Alexander is preseason all conference. Can't wait to see Taylee Chirrick go head to head with her. They have athletes. So do we. If we shoot well we can win this game.

Duh, I saw 2022/2023/2024 and totally ignored the fact that the 2025 NCAA Tournament has already happened this year! Thanks for the correction.SACCAT wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 12:21 pmLost in the 2nd round of the WNIT last year to Florida, after losing to San Diego State in the Mountain West Tourney.MSU01 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 18, 2025 11:15 amWould love to attend this one in person, but as it's on a Tuesday I'll have to settle for watching on ESPN+. Re: WBB against UNLV tonight
At the UNLV Classic a year ago, both MSU and UNLV finished 2-0, defeating the same two teams, one from the Big XII. Both teams were bigger and more physical, but we were quicker and stealthier. I think UNLV won by a little more than we did, but they were on their home campus while not their home court. The games were moved from the Pavilion to Thomas & Mack because UNLV won the MW volleyball regular season and was hosting.
A number of the UNLV fans that we spoke to between games congratulated MSU for having such a classy and well-behaved group of athletes and coaches. They said they’d love to host us again. Maybe that’s where this game came about — I don’t know but getting a series going with UNLV would be really great. Good transportation, good competition.

Good guys 20 - 17 after 1. UNLV is KILLING us on the glass but we're winning the turnover battle. The coaching staff is barking about the ball watching. We'll see if it helps.

Cats looking good so far but I feel like they're relying too much on outside shots that aren't falling. UNLV hasn't shot all that well either.

One of the assistants is talking with her about something. It's probably that.

Both coaching staffs are sputting mad at the officials. I guess that means they're doing okay?

7 of 18 for 3s at half. I'll take that any night. But free throws are killing us.

Blocking Bunyan! Bunyan the Blocker?
Unlv qas getting too many open looks at 3's on the wings. Those seem to be being limited now.
Their coach was spitting mad. Wonder what that was about.
@SACCAT I've wondered can the players hear you on the court as you do the PBP?

Cats by 10 at the half, forget what I said earlier about the outside shots not falling! If MSU shoots anywhere near 40% from 3 they are going to be very hard to beat with how many turnovers they can force on defense.

Re: WBB against UNLV tonight
For the Bobcats any missed free throw is just another 2 points instead of 1 opportunity.
UNLV is definitely a notch better than most teams we see in the fieldhouse. They're very athletic and skilled. Our team is more than holding their own, but no lead is safe in this one.

Surprised that we out rebounded them on the offensive boards. 14-11. It feels like they've been getting alot but I guess 2 possessions it was like 4 each time.

Fingers crossed she doesn't end up following her brother to Iowa next season.
