I listened to this entire press conference and was really blown away! Not just with the recruits but the straight forward honesty that vigen displayed. I loved choate and his fire in recruiting and everything he did, but I vigen is just different! The honesty and straight forward answers and real world answers are refreshing and makes hope he never leaves!!!

I probably missed it. But of the top recruits, how does it break down Cats vs gris?

I could be wrong, but I don’t see either Dowler leaving as long as Vigen stays next year. The community has done a ton for them, and I don’t see them getting the same support anywhere else. Sure they could get money, however, that isn’t necessarily an equalizer.CodyCat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 7:45 amThat’s a big assumption that Dowler stays.KIX wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 5:01 pmHoping Dowler will be able to influence some of these young DBs to stay....maybe.WetBreeches wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 2:09 pmI'd be happily shocked if we only lose 2....I'm sure there are several FBS teams tracking McMillan, Johnson and Williams from their high school days...clearly Dowler will get some interest...coloradocat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 12:49 pmI'd be (happily) shocked if we had no turnover in the secondary.ZebraCat wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 12:40 pmI'd be willing to bet we lose two.Catbacker_1 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 12:26 pmLots of DB’s considering how young our secondary is now. If DeShawn truly has the hips to play corner, that is the size we have been looking for.

With all the upheaval at Sac St and now the coaching change, players that signed a letter of intent could portal, even high school seniors. I wonder if there is still any interest in the Glacier QB? Felt like a QB was missing from the class. (I know of the Oregon kid but he strikes me as more of an athlete than QB).

My take from the "Random Stuff" thread:Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 4:19 pmWith all the upheaval at Sac St and now the coaching change, players that signed a letter of intent could portal, even high school seniors. That's a good question...I'd imagine there are a lot of factors involved. What did his decommitment look like? Do we have any additional scholarship $ available in the qb room? Would he be interested in a walk-on role? How happy are we with the current qb room? Do we think he's a true difference maker?
With all those questions, I'd say it's highly unlikely.

I don't disagree with your take. I do think QB is a position where you're taking a swing every year no matter what the room looks like. Maybe not bringing a transfer every cycle like the gris but bring in a high school kid that has some promise.wbtfg wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 4:29 pmMy take from the "Random Stuff" thread:Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 4:19 pmWith all the upheaval at Sac St and now the coaching change, players that signed a letter of intent could portal, even high school seniors. Oh for sure.....and we did bring in a guy. That's why i'm not sure if we'd take a 2nd guy in the same class.Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 4:36 pmI don't disagree with your take. I can't believe he still signed after everything that happened since he committed. Hard to feel too bad for a kid that seemed to only commit to the Bobcats as a safety school and then jumped as soon as another FBS* offer came along. I guess he'll be able to rack up the stats playing North American and Lincoln multiple times next year.wbtfg wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 4:29 pmMy take from the "Random Stuff" thread:Prodigal Cat wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 4:19 pmWith all the upheaval at Sac St and now the coaching change, players that signed a letter of intent could portal, even high school seniors. Our QB room is fine as is but if he wants to walk on for a year I suppose Vigen might take him.
Showing pressure on fourth down in overtime. They bring pressure. Lamson throws...Endzone! Caught! TOUCHDOWN!!! Taco Dowler!
And a kick away from a championship.
Here we go. Miles Sansted. Snap, hold, kick, Up, GOOOOD!! FOR A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!

I know that it’s pointless, and we won’t know for a couple years……. But any initial guesses at ranking this class? Top 10 list?
I think it’s pretty loaded, but have a feeling that Linder will be an absolute stud, and the gem of this class.

I am guessing we will all be disappointed unfortunately with todays transfer portal, all the good ones will leave within a year. Hope I'm wrong.mslacatfan wrote: ↑Thu Dec 04, 2025 6:25 pmI know that it’s pointless, and we won’t know for a couple years……. But any initial guesses at ranking this class? Top 10 list?
