I had a feeling this is how the game would go, I was pulling for SDSU, however, they still had a ton of injuries that could not match the griz fire power and their dumb stadium.

I agree with that and think we get the 1:30 ABC game. The 2 seed against a TX school is a good ratings draw. Tarleton/Nova will be the 10am game.

The Jacks play in the Southland and as far as I can tell, there isn’t much in the way of defense. It struck me much like an old Big XII game in that it lacked any real defense. They sling it so if the weather is decent, our DBs will be tested. I suspect our lines are much better. And much like Yale, SFA will give us a game.

They sling it so if the weather is decent, our DBs will be tested. I suspect our lines are much better. And much like Yale, SFA will give us a game.

They have the #1 ranked run defense on all of FCS. However, national stats should be taken with a grain of salt. Mercer had a highly ranked D and made USD look like the favorite to win it all today. We just have to go play our A game and we'll be hosting the semis.

Agreed. I also think it shows that the Southland isn’t a strong conference. However, if SFA prove to be stingy on run D, we’ll need a much better day passing than we saw today…

Mercer is in the Southern Conference, not the Southland that SFA is in.
