I think SFA will be very very tough. Something like our playoff games vs SDSU and USD in recent years at home.
Well I'm hoping more like USD and hoping we get the result we got last year... I'd take 31 to 17! See ya tomorrow 8)
I'm not so sure it won't be closer to William and Mary 2022, especially if we can start fast and light the place on fire the first couple series.
Just remember SFA is in the top 8 for a reason. This game can go either way, although Montana state is definitely more likely to win (coming from an SFA fan). But to say this game is going to be closer to a 55-7 victory is just arrogant.
Just like the Texas fans all over social media. Everything is bigger in Texas indeed.

Yeah, never mind those fans that think that every game should be a blowout, you would think the Yale game should temper some of those thoughts.
Agreed. Even from a standpoint of a football fan, and sports fan in general, you'd hope it would be a good game and maybe draw some more viewers to the FCS level. Is MSU fully capable routing SFA 51-7? Absolutely. Will it happen? I highly doubt it.

Whats the word on the health of Bugs Mortimer? I read that he's averaging 21.5 yards per punt return??? Damn! And he has 4 TDs as well. Sounds like a potential game changer.

He definitely is a game changer on special teams; however, I heard from a reliable source last week that he would be out 4-6 weeks. Take that with a grain of salt, but I'd say there's about a 10% chance he plays tomorrow. Our backup punt returner is our star wide receiver Kylon Harris. He's not quite as dangerous as bugs but he did have a punt return TD against Cal poly early in the season. He's not as quick as bugs, but is still good for some extra yards.

The Lumberjack Marching band will be traveling with the team, and has been on the field a few feet behind the team during walkthroughs to help them prepare for the noise. I know you guys are gonna make it loud for us! Cant wait to experience one of the best crowds in the FCS!

Yes it appears Bugs got hurt in our matchup with Northwestern State. But Kylon Harris is a more than capable return man as well, and has the explosive speed and elusiveness to be a game changer as well.

That's got to be awesome for the band! Do they just get to screech their instruments as loud as possible?! I would absolutely LOVE to see this. =D^

Oh yeah. The LMB is basically another fan section, they just get as loud as possible every opportunity they get.

I don't think it'll be that. I think it'll be a very competitive game. I just allow for the possibility that it could go that way. These Friday quarterfinal games have been a hurricane for teams coming in. I think your team is capable of winning. But W&M was #5 when they came in, they were confident, but their team didn't handle the moment and they got boat raced. I don't think that'll happen here but the last 3 Friday QF games: 28-3, 55-7, 52-19. The last 2 against top 8 seeds. W&M was 5, idaho 8. So i do allow for the possibility, you'll have to forgive me my arrogance.

To add to that, the Cats under Vigen have posted a 38-2 home record, with the only two losses coming in OT to both NDSU and SDSU.

SFA certainly has the talent to pull off an upset, so by no means should you guys feel discredited by being underdogs. MSU just about beats everyone that comes to town. The Jacks I'm sure will play with that underdog mentality with nothing to lose and give us a great game. It's just gonna be super difficult for you guys to do what only 2 other teams have done in OT. If you guys win you will certainly deserve it, and we'd root for you the rest of the way for sure! All love here man! Your coach is incredible and seems very loyal. You guys are headed in the right direction.

MSU has been in the quarter finals four of the last five non Covid seasons. The average margin of victory (even including the road game at SHSU) is 29.5 points. The smallest margin is 14 against Austin Peay in 2019. Largest of 48 against W&M in 2022.

Yes this is the part of the season where if we predict the Cats to win big we're "arrogant". And this isn't a slight to our SFA fans. But as you showed, our last 3 Friday night playoff games were just that; big wins. This isn't to say this is how tomorrow will go, but it's certainly not arrogant to think the results tomorrow could be the exact same as the results the last 3 times.

Took a look at their 2-deep, they're a Senior heavy team. Looks like 12 or 13 Senior starters, about 20 Seniors on the 2-deep.

Took a look at their 2-deep, they're a Senior heavy team. Looks like 12 or 13 Senior starters, about 20 Seniors on the 2-deep.
Can you post the link?
Here's the link to the game notes. Also, I re watched the SFA ACU game tonight and it looks like SFA got hammered with some injuries. 2 starting OL, i starting WR, and a starting corner all went down. I don't know how serious the other ones are but the starting corner went out on a stretcher.
